Seems to be some confusion on Woods, some reports have him on the extended bench and others don't have him listed at all.

EDIT: NRL.com site confirms he is named on the extended bench.

Obviously to cover some positions.

Concerns on hayne(McManus), bird was in a moon boot (boyd corduner) and gall(woods)

Hard to argue with the side since it is basically the team that got the job done in game 1 with The Dugan coming in for Fergo. Glad to see Cordner is on the radar though, he's going to be a superstar.

McAnus would be the most unlikely to play out of the 3 man extended bench IMO. Hayne should be running in a day or so, Gallen will likely play, but Bird is the biggest worry, I think he is a good chance of missing the game.

But Cordner is impressive, I imagine Watmough would start and Cordner would be off the bench if it comes to that.

I rate Cordner really high, but surely going into a Decider you play Gallen at 13 if Bird is out, with Woods keeping his spot on pure experience of playing the last game?

Good point Watto. That makes more sense, especially with Gallens leg to lighten his load a bit.

Knew woods would be the scapegoat….

He's hardly a scapegoat. It just makes sense to put Tamou back in now he's available. I'd imagine they would want as close as possible to the team that got the job done in game 1\. In any case, he's still on the radar as 18th man. Merritt, however, is nowhere to be seen - he's the scapegoat.

Merritt had the worst individual origin performance I've ever seen, he deserved to be dropped, woods did not.

Agreed, Woods had a shot to lock down a spot but didn't really impress in his debut, so he made way for a returning Tamou. He is still next in line, evident by being named 18th man.

As 18-20th man do you miss club games automatically? or is it like, they decide on wednesday or thursday about fitness and then woodsy can come back for us if he doesn't make it?

We have a bye next week.

Great team. But I feel we are strongest with hayne at one. But go doogs! Please bring it home mate!

Merritt is not a scapegoat. He isn't up to it

Yep

Ok, ok - wrong choice of words obviously, but I'm just trying to make the point that Woods has NOT been made a scapegoat. Tamou is the original starting prop and he is back, it just makes sense he should go back in. As MM said Woods didn't do enough in game 2 to warrant being chosen to start again, but he is still in the mix as 18th man. It's pretty obvious really to those who aren't looking for some sort of hidden agenda :unamused:
