The Tigers could have more money to spend with forward Ben Murdoch-Masila likely to be granted a release.

Makes sense, best move for all parties…...Made little progress here in four years and maybe another club can unlock his potential.....The fact that Potter hasn't played him even despite the injuries of 2-3 forwards suggests he's put a line through his name......

Hopefully Korobeite goes too if it further assists our efforts to retain some of our off-contract youngsters.....I'm sorry, he may be young and relatively new to the game but I've seen enough to know he won't make anything of FG....Worst defensive winger in the comp (and that can't merely be rectified through better 'attitude') and has hands like feet amongst other flaws......

Panthers could be a good fit for BMM, but I also wonder if he's still carrying a lot "demons" over Mosese's tragic passing last year. The two were best friends and I'm wondering whether BMM has managed to move on since then. A change of club may be just what he needs.

I have to agree. Certainly has not been the same player since the tragedy and understandably so.

A change might be god for Ben… He has always been a slow starter to most seasons.

**Hope Panthers pay 100%!**

Considering he's off contract at the end of the year, worst case scenario, we'd only be topping him up til the end of the season one would think.

can not agree at all on Korobete, his weaknesses are very easily fixed (and overstated IMO) his natural abilities are enourmous. His progress is faster than Uate, I think that he has more ability as well. I reckon

Korobeite is young and still immature from a football point of view. He wouldn't command a huge salary from Wests Tigers and is certainly worth keeping.

after the warriors reggies game he was talking about being in top 4 straight after the game.
seemed an odd thing to have on your mind straight after a game of reggies.
seemed resigned to the fact he would be playing there for a while.

i never understood the hype everyone had with bmm

Tackling technique can be taught (I don't think this is so much Marika's problem), but reads in defence largely come down to instinct and how well a player acts on what he sees in front of him and this has been a problem for him dating back to his early days in the NYC…..

As for him progressing faster than Uate, well that's dubious to say the least....At 21, Uate had a permanent spot on the wing for Newcastle and was already a cult figure at the club.....Not to mention he was only 2 years off playing SOO.....Koro's playing reggies and probably won't see FG again this season barring injuries/rep selections.....

As for ability, yeah you may be right, though its certainly debatable....Koro's certainly the quicker of the two but I tend to think Uate's the better finisher......

This misconception is most likely because he extended by 2 seasons in 2012, however he still had another year to run when he re-signed for the further 2 years thus taking him through to the end of 2015

Contract extension until 2015
Wests Tigers have received a boost on the eve of tomorrow night’s must win game against Melbourne Storm with talented young forward Ben Murdoch-Masila extending his contract for a further two years.
This new deal contracts Murdoch-Masila to Wests Tigers until the end of 2015.

"I’m really pleased with this new deal which will allow me to further develop my career with Wests Tigers'’ Murdoch-Masila said.

"My goal is now to be a permanent member of the team each week and whilst it’s been good coming off the bench up until now, I’d like to force my way into the starting line up next year."

I think the end of the Benji era has something to do with BMM's situation as well. He, like Simon Dwyer and Tim Moltzen, seemed to be able to read Benji better than others. Ben scored some great tries supporting Benji.

I still think he is a player with heaps of potential, but Potter doesn't seem to rate him. How many more injuries would it require for him to get a run in NRL? How will we all feel if we have to watch him go on to play for Australia, like Ryan Hoffman?

Been wondering this also…
