BMM may have broken leg

Scotland's North Queensland centre Kane Linnett finished the game in the sin bin for a professional foul while Tonga's **Wests Tigers forward Ben Murdoch-Masila appears to have played his last football for the year after suffering a suspected broken leg in his first hit-up of the night.**

FFS we just can't take a trick. Not to mention this happened in a nothing game, in a tournament that is largely a waste of time. :imp:

Better then ligament damage.

Should be back and raring to go after the Xmas break

BMM is the last player we need laid up with a broken leg.His fitness levels seem to take a long time to get up to the required level, so any lay off will set him back. Maybe he will be able to use the time in rehab working on his handling skills, because that is the only thing that will hold him back from being a top shelve player in the future.

Would be surprised if his leg was broken, it looked more like a serious knee injury the way he was buckled back and his leg was folded sideways at the knee.

Even if it is a broken leg there are no guarantees that he will recover in time for next season. Tuiaki's broken leg showed us that.

Bad luck for BMM and just continues our friggin injury cursed years ever since way back in 2005.

Im sure its not a waste of time and a nothing game to those playing

He'll be right

Let's agree to disagree, because I think the whole concept of a RL World Cup is a waste of time, especially when players can virtually play for whoever they like and represent more than one country.

They do seem to have tightened the eligibility laws this time around. Of course if you have parents from 2 different countries then you are probably able to play for either country. It is a great idea that players who don't get picked for Oz or NZ can fall back into a secondary country's team if they are eligible, it keeps more of the world's best players in the tournament.

The only way RL is going to get more exposure and participation in some of these smaller countries is by having the World Cup. It has it's place IMO. You only have to see how much it means to some of these blokes to play for their homeland by looking at the tears and the raw passion while they are singing their anthem.

It has been a good tournament so far and the games have been fun to watch. Can't ask for more than that. The rugby union World Cup is twice as big as the league one but in all honesty it is also twice as boring and the games are more one-sided.

Enjoy the next few weeks for what it is mate

Even before next season has started we are losing players to injury, hopefully in the 9's tournament we have no injuries either, touch wood

x2\. best RLWC yet.

Damn that's a shame or BMM to be injured. Hopefully whatever the damage may be, he recovers well and without any complications so he's right to go next season.

First hit up in his first RLWC game. I really feel for him. he mustve been so pumped to play for Tonga

Only saw it once , does anyone have footage ??
