Big bold marketing move by the nrl, but good on them!!!

Maybe this year we might have a good half time show if they can get JBJ to play! Finally rival the afl!!

Finally a rock song with a bit of groove about it to promote the game.

It's an anthem as well….this'll work.

Hated the past attempts especially the gurus and wes carr.

I'm going to come out and say it at risk of being unpopular: Bon Jovi truly have outstayed their welcome and I have never liked them.

That's a matter of opinion. Bon Jovi, whether you're a fan or not, are a world famous act and have 1000x more cred than Wes Carr who did the last NRL song.

Agreed MM….It'll be a far better promotion than "thats my team".

I will agree Bon Jovi has more credibility than Wes Carr. Wes Carr was a winner on a glorified karaoke contest which I feel is an insult to the music industry that unfairly gives vocalists an opportunity at the expense of other musicians. I agree his song was a pathetic advertisement for the NRL. But I expressed that my opinion was going to be unpopular, just take it on face value mate. I understand people are fans of the band, but I don't agree that it is a good theme, and I have never found anything they have done to be groundbreaking or entertaining.

Don't take it personally, I don't think you're deficient for liking them mate! You can't be too bad cause you're a Tigers supporter :sign:

I get what you were saying, but looking at the bigger picture, BJ is probably the biggest act to be used by the NRL since Tina Turner. It is a step in the right direction from the NRL's marketing dep. Not having a shot at you in any way for not liking them, it's a matter of personal opinion.

Sounds good, a good sports anthem, and not only that, a swipe at the AFL, you can't beat that.

It'd be good to have the band in the advertising video as well like what they did with Tina Turner in the early 90s.
