Boooing Woods

There will be bugger all Tigers fans there.

The team is losing and the players are leaving.

Apart from the die hards it will be all Dogs fans.

I would happily boo Woods. Not all the time but I think he is a cat the way he has behaved this year.

I know, why don't we abduct them, take them out onto the field and publicly behead them!

Geez people, they are only football players who will be replaced by other football players. Let's all calm down a bit. I haven't been to a game this year due to a knee replacement but I'm going on Sunday, not to boo anyone but to show solidarity with the club. I think these two players will give their all for the rest of the year but if they don't, reserve grade beckons - Ivan will do whatever is necessary and I'm happy to support the team he puts on the paddock.

All this talk of booing reminds of Gough Whitlam when was at his lowest in the polls. At a Test cricket match, he walked onto the field with the chairman of the SCG Trust and the booing started. He looked at the chairman and said, "Gee, I didn't know you were so unpopular!"

I wonder if the Brisbane fans are being this spiteful towards Ben Hunt for signing a million dollar deal with St George for next season? Highly doubt it…..

If they struggled with recruitment as we do then maybe they would be spiteful… But they know they'll get someone better, so it's win win for them

dont think i'd ever boo anyone wearing a tigers jersey. i want them to win and idk how someone can win if their own fans boo them.

But that assumes it matters to Woods and Tedesco if we win or not? Moses is a bigger liability as he touches the ball more often, so anything could happen there. The mood could be ugly tomorrow but the scoreboard could be uglier. But, I''ll be there nonetheless.

Yep, too true. At first I wanted to boo him, but he won't give a rats

However, if he looks as disinterested as he has been for the last couple of weeks, who knows.

Can't stand to look at him, let alone listen to the dribble that comes out of his mouth lately.

Hope he steps up big time now we all know he he truth….somehow I doubt it, dogs will run all over him unfortunately

I'd do it to Woods but not Tedesco

Moses liked a comment on Instagram basically rubbishing the club, saying escaped a sinking ship who would wana play here etc.

I would boo him too.

But why Milky , Moses is 100% right

It might hurt being a WT's fan , but it is time to start accepting it

Serious question, do we support the most unlucky and pitiful club in the NRL? I've started to accept the fact I'm in for a disappointing, long life

I think these players think they have destroyed the club….no wonder they look so smug

God I hope they become the unhappiest footballers on earth....but that won't happen....so I will just go on supporting my team and cheering the occasional win for now.

The pat Richards thing was completely different, first off he was going to $uper League in England. it also was later in the season, and he wasn't seen having lunch days before with the other team that he is about to play, and the tigers didn't really make any offers to keep him.

these 3 players were given pretty much the same offers we did, so it wasn't about the money it was about saying screw you let's go to a winning and stable club

Exactly this

Guys like Richards also didnt drag the club through the dirt. He was upfront with the club and told them he was accepting a lucrative offer from wigan. The difference between cases like richards and these 3 are vast.
Another major difference is , even though he departed he was one of those players in that team that believed we could win, and win we did.

Interesting idea.

Moses tweet, shows he's a twit - He could be taken seriously if he ever did anything good for Wests Tigers.Never won them a game, never got them to the semi's,a non-tackler,non-passer,and terrible kicker in general play. The club being a sinking ship,he contributed to it,if that's true.

Also, funny that those leaving want to go to a winning team, when they have been given plenty of opportunity to help Wests Tigers be a winning team, but have failed.

This is exactly it,they were labelled the "future" of the club, the start of a new era at the WTs,they were given everything they wanted…...unfortunately the potential and talent never reached the hype it was perceived to be....

Teddy maybe the one who does reach his goal at being the best,Moses is a show pony who pats himself on the back,Woods " could be great" if he changes his playing style and Brooks has given himself the chance to gain rep honours under the guidance of Ivan the great, and has stayed loyal to his club that has developed him....he should now be applauded for his mature decision..

Yes we do, But I cant change.

Im worried about my 5 kids who are Tigers obsessed despite never watching footy.

2 of my three boys were signed up for junior footy last night, " Goo Milperra Colts" and Im talking them on Sunday.

If we get smashed I dont know if i can keep them as Tigers.

As for Booing, I wont.

Lol i have the same dilema. Ive been a tiger supporter for 30 years and 2005 premiership is enough for me. But i have 3 kids who keep asking me why do we go for the tigers dad lol. Im starting to think to save them all this suffering to tell them to choose their own team lol and save them years of misery.

The advantage of a few hundred people booing is that it will show the media and NRL community that at least a big chunk of us back the club over the players. You would never guess if you opened the rag.

Just tell them that you have to be tough to support the Tigers and because of that you can handle anything life throws at you in the future.

Wins are sweeter when there's been a lot of pain.
We lived in Maroubra when my son started school… His schools colours were red n green, he played for Maroubra Lions who wear the Souths strip. He got caught up in the fuss of their re admission in 02.
He used to sit in front of me on the floor watching them on tv when they were crap, he thought I couldn't see his tears.

We went to the GFs in '05 and '14....never thought those two nights would happen

My old man said to me during a bad period in my life "anything worthwhile is never easy"
Teach your kids to be staunch, teach them that even if clubs and players don't show loyalty, fans and supporters can.
The good times may be few but they stand out more when it's usually not so smooth sailing.

I cried so much in 1989 i was a little kid but so devastated. But 2005 just made it all worthwhile. Fortunately my kids have got the tigers blood in them already. My sons favourite player was Simona. He then moved to Tedesco. Now he tells me dad i want to be just like Nofa. Just shows no player is bigger than our club and whenever you hit rock bottom there is only way to go and that is up. Go the mighty tigers 4 life.

The only one who is a great player is Tedesco. Moses may get to a high level as well. Woods is basically past his peak. He doesn't have the athleticism to be a great player. Brooks may turn into a quality player as well.

I agree. I remember after 05 it felt weird to me. I also think what we are going through now will pass and the club can improve from here on in.

Would not describe him as great. He is good, but is no Thurston, Johns etc who have proved their ability to carry a side over many years.

He is also a knee injury or two from joining the where are they now files.

My little fella is too young to understand what it's all about. He'll look at the telly and say go or Tigers but if we want to keep these young fans we need to win a few games in the next few years.

As for the booing I anticipate it will happen but it's not for me. Hoping they put up a good show and get the win. Will have the 4 year old nephew with me who's keen on the Tigers but his mum wants him to jump to the bunnies
