Braith Anasta spills the beans on Tigers

Braith was not a bad player at the dogs or the Chooks.

He sucked here. He would have sucked at Souths before the rebuild. He seemed to fit the Chooks precious Pedal stereotype.

But we should look at what he says. We should not be a poor or understaffed or underresourced club. WERE THE WEST TIGERS, a merger of the cash strapped Magpies and Balmain. **WTF arn't our resources on par.**

Yep, plenty of people bagging him out for telling the truth but not asking the obvious question.
Why we were so bad for so long, and are STILL considered to behind every other club in training facilities?

It does make you wonder why we are still so far behind. I thought Wests Leagues Club, at least, was doing well and of course we have the richest bloke in Australia as our supposed No 1 supporter, but he obviously couldn't be stuffed putting any of his precious millions into helping out the club he supposedly loves so much :unamused:

Harry has put in millions over the years - not good enough for you. I think it is a bit rich having a go at him when **he has been helping out.**
With comments like yours I wouldn't blame him for walking away all together.

What has he done exactly? If he was really helping out we would have some decent training facilities!

Specifically I am aware he put a few hundred thousand into a new kitchen or something like that, when JT came on board? I haven't done my research but I remember it.

He signed on as primary sponsor for a few years when we couldn't get a primary sponsor.

He acknowledged in the newspaper perhaps two years ago that he's involved in TPAs, something along the lines of "I still love the club and trust them, I don't sponsor them because I don't need the coverage, so they tell me into which good young footballers I should put my money, and that is where I put my money".

In the bad old Balmain days he was the financial life-blood, he was the primary sponsor for many years and used to give players bonuses for wins, when there wasn't much money around.

That is just the stuff I know off the top of my head, there would be more, then there would also be the stuff that has never been made public.

Thanks for the info, Jirskyr. His TPA's can't be too much cause we never seem to have much to offer compared to other clubs, but I'm sure the kitchen has been useful

Obviously Harry was more prominent in the Balmain days - that's understandable. I wonder which young blokes the club has asked him to put money into in recent years?

Reading between the lines, also Tiger Torch last year posted a lot of potentially legit insider info, Uncle Harry was topping up "The Big 4" to the tune of a few hundred large each.

Harry T has more money than most of the rugby league backers combined, but from the picture that has been painted he's also fairly frugal and money-conscious for a billionaire. Kerry Packer might have dropped hundreds of millions in gambling, but not Harry. So I got the impression Harry was in for some, but not for an avalanche.

When you stack that up against the Roosters, for example, there's always been the suggestion they have a squadron of heavily committed high rollers, not Harry T high, but more financially invested. Broncos have the Thoroughbreds, that much is public, they roll the Broncos over as well and have limited geographical competition.

Harry T could personally bankroll the entire NRL broadcast rights for the next 30 years. So clearly there is a limit to his involvement with Tigers.

Maybe the criticism should be aimed at some wealthy Tigers supporters that don't contribute anything to the club instead of heaping it on someone like Harry that has and does contribute.

Doesn't matter how much he has, he is doing his bit - maybe others should do theirs.

**Is there anything you will take the clubs side on?**

**Got nothing to do with taking sides.**
He told the truth about our sub standard facilities which, as far as I know, haven't improved much since he left.
Do you know otherwise?

Yeah, but you go against the club on every major issue i.e

- Anasta attacking the club
- Farah v JT/Board
- Defending Woods, Tedesco and Moses
- Criticising the club for their choice of ISP team for 2018

Its obvious you have an agenda against the club.

**Ummmm … sounds more like you have an agenda with anyone who doesn't agree with your opinions.**
For starters my comment in regards to Anasta was to point out he was telling the truth about our sub standard facilities- and the fact they haven't improved much.
**Sorry I just didn't come out and bag the bloke.**
In regards to Farah - myself, and plenty of others, thought his departure was very poorly executed and unnecessary.
**Sorry I just didn't come out and bag the bloke.**
Woods, Tedesco and Moses? I've defended their right to move on if it's their decision.
**Sorry I just didn't come out and bag them all.**
ISP changing names? My view is we should be WestsTigers through all grades.Nearly everyone wanted that to happen when it did (myself NOT included). If there is to be a Western Suburbs team then there should be a Balmain as well.
**Sorry I just didn't come out and crawl up Wests Leagues clacker.**
Not too sure how many of my opinions are 'anti- club' but they are my opinions.
I don't think that poor little old me having an 'agenda' against the club would amount to anything for them to worry about anyway.

Not to sure what the part I bolded even means. Whenever the chance comes up to take a crack at the club, you will. If you don't like how I defined that, define it yourself.

I don't know why sojust don't ignore him. .
Hopefully if the club improve their management ,as it seems that they are heading that way. There will be less things that the media can have a shot at us.
We've given them an easy target over the years, with some stupid appointments and signings, and we've deserved a lot of the attention that we've had.
We won't suddenly lose the target of being a basket case , until we show an all round improvement. Its going to take time. In the mean time who really cares what Anasta says.

Listen Mr Gold Coast, was it you or someone said the lynching mob here need some take their frustrations out on someone. Was Benji, then Robbie, then Woods, Teddy, Mitch and now Braith - yesterday's heroes the whole lot of them.

Duh? :unamused:
Over and out Space Cadet.

Huh ??
Can't work that one out.
I was talking about ignoring Anasta. Not sure what you are referring to in your post.
The only thing that I can think is that you don't think that we should not ignore Braith.
Maybe I should have have less Southo's and Coke.

On the other hand , it could be that I should increase the Southo's,

Then il read it again, maybe

I beg to differ. I don't believe that Braith Anasta was ever a hero, yesterdays or otherwise, at WT.

Oh he did kick that one field goal for us against the Raiders. That's the one time I recall him being the hero.

Most of the rest of the time I was super disappointed how far his abilities had fallen, and that he was taking us for a ride based on former glories when he knew his body was no longer up to it.

Maybe if he contibuted in a positive manner on the field, the club may have gathered support of the field by way of attracting players and sponsors.

I can remember Anasta having pinpoint accuracy with his bomb placement when playing against us & then never ever reproducing that when he pulled on our colours… nothing player, traitor to the bunnies & Georgie Piggins, oxygen thief, etc etc

I think no tape and no Gatorade almost equates with no talent.

Therefore he still owes us all the money he took under false pretenses.
