Braithe's position.

I think it won't really matter what number he has on their back. Benji, Robbie and Braith will always float between dummy Half, 1st receiver and 2nd receiver.

More than likely, Braith will give us that good kicking game when we are in our own half and need a good clearing kick. Without Benji having to worry about the 5th tackle option, he might run the ball a bit more on the 2nd last.

I think its a great signing for the money. He isn't amazing and is at the end of his career. But what ever position he plays, he will gives us good stability and consistency. Both of which we are lacking right now.

Put Anasta in the centres, thats basically wear he plays for the Roosters at the moment. Anasta to centre and Ayshford to secondrow.

I'm pretty sure Sheens moved Daly to the centres later on in his career, same idea with Anasta?

I haven't been on in ages …had a lot happening in life. I had to log in and see the forums reactions to a few things. Now I will admit that when it was announced we hat signed Loti back in the day , I thought NOOOOO!!! he is to old and past it. He proved me wrong at the time ( though I feel he may NOW be ' past it ' , time will tell ) and I ate my words.
Anasta ,he is another kettle of fish. At 30 and way past his best ( A Roosters fan friend is glad to see the back of him ,and laughed at the Tigers even cosidering him  ) My guess is that he is to be played in the forwards .I hope he is worth the money we are going to pay him...as we already have too many players on overs ATM , especially a few of the recent signings. however my gut tells me this is the second worse decision made by the powers that be , the other releasing Fiffita to the Sharkies :crazy . By the way , I do rate A.Blair ....but he hasnt hit his straps and is not...repeat NOT an 80 minute player.
As for the rest of the team..hey boys ...I know we've got injuries...but ...TURN UP TO PLAY and at least earn your money :wtf

Who cares what number jersey he wears??

It's a non issue for me.

If Benji likes the six let him have it…....he could play prop in the six,who cares, really.

Halves play sides now.....Benji left and Anasta right seems good to me.

hahaha so Benji is left halfback and Braith will be right halfback …do you have a clue Simon?

Yeah…i have a clue.

Anasta will not be playing in the centres.

For those who think Anasta is a poor buy, if we were up by 2 points with 2min to go in a semi final, I doubt he would run the ball on the last tackle.

Just think about that.

I know it won't happen, but I think it's worth a shot. He's a big guy for a 6 and it's the role he is playing right now for Roosters.

May as well chuck "me" two bobs in. I think Anasta will be a valuable acquisition. I believe, that he has the skill set to teach some of our younger blokes how to 'Grind Out" a footy match and actually win it from the 60th minute. I agree with Mosco and Hybrid, I think his "Tactical" kicking game will be useful and I also think he will have the ability to make quick decisions on the footy field to the best advantage. By that I mean, I hope I have seen the last of the "backward" kick for touch from a penalty 12m out after 30 seconds of discussion - IT KILLS ME.

After thinking about it maybe we will be better off with Anasta in the 6 or 7

My reasoning is he is getting on now and a lot of five eights who have moved to lock later in their careers get more injuries than they did earlier in their careers

One point in case that stands out to me was Wally Lewis When Bennett moved Kevin Walters to 6 and Lewis to 13 he got far more injuries due to the increased workload

I cannot believe that anyone wants Anasta to play 5/8.
If anyone's jersey that is sacred, it's Benji's.
Seriously? People think that taking the 6 off Benji is a positive thing to do? Crazy talk. (Neither him nor Farah really played that well at 7 to warrant them holding the position over someone else…..like... say.... Miller)
Every other team will laugh their heads off if Benji goes to halfback. (Example - Thurston moving to 6 - Why did NQ do this? to accommodate Thompson? CRAZY! Thompson should accommodate Thurston! Laughable!)
Benji should wear 6 until he retires or something drastic happens. End of story!

Back to Anasta - he HAS to play in the forwards; lock or second row. Heighno to bench.
We just signed a ball playing forward and that's awesome. Let's embrace it for what it is and face the reality - we need a proper halfback. No more of this makeshift crap. I say let's keep investing in Miller - unless there's a viable alternative (which is NOT Benji).

I agree, I thought we had left the band aid solutions for the halves behind us. I think Anasta's best position is lock.

Lock. I know most on here love Hieghno but to me he is a bloke with first grade attitude but reserve grade skill.

Anasta will significantly strengthen this position.

actually i thought Blair had a fair game 33 tackles and led the the tigers in hit ups (11) in fact only Taylor had more hit ups (13) than him and we can't just throw juniors in the deep they need guidance that is why they are bled in.
