Well the Broncos halves gave up 6 7 tackle sets and the dragons halves 4 tonight..

Lets hope Brooks and Reynolds do a bit better than that..

The broncos were horrible tonight

Great to see

Hmmm happy tigers ratings of halves 5/8 No.5 Milford in the NRL

I didn't have him playing with Nikorima , I had him with Bird

I think Brandy mentioned that Bird would end up in the halves

There is a very distinct difference in what we saw in this analysis and what we saw in the 2 trials, especially the 1st half against the Sharks.
In this analysis, it’s always Brooks on the left edge, Reynolds on the right edge (admittedly for different clubs).
However against the Sharks, It was Brooks 1st receiver, Reynolds 2nd on BOTH sides of the ruck.
Sure, it looked clunky at times and Cronulla cottoned on to the fact on 5th tackle that the ball was following Brooks, but with a bit of practice, plus a few option plays (Lolohea, Benji, ET etc) to give opposition defences a bit to think about - it should work better than the super rigid structure we’ve tried for the last 3 years….

Nice analysis there bob. I was at the game but with very flat viewing angles on the sidleine it's harder to see those shapes.

Was at the game also. Biggest shape i saw was the guy in the 9 throwing slow rainbow shaped passes and making it very hard to judge if it was Brooks who couldnt execute or just really clunky set up.

Hopefully with Godinet we now get a clearer picture.

Shouldn't we expect more from the No.5 ranked 5/8 in the game…?

Broncos horrible you say

Ooooh depends who he has around him...interesting indeed....

That sounds even worse to me. Neither Bird or the Milf are anything close to a halfback, and they were already directionless last night. (Though their great plan of using Lodge at first receiver looked like Hasler reheated.)

He said it’s where he could be if Nikorima doesn’t pull his finger out.

Just goes to show it doesn't matter who is in your team
They all have off games
The Donkeys didn't offer much in attack and Wayne should and would be concerned
Milfords kicking was no better than Brooks
The dragon's played great football last night and it was their forward pack that led the way
That made it that much easier for their backs to play of the front foot
That's exactly what our forwards need to produce

Like most of you, really enjoyed the whole interview. JR is going to be good for Brooks.
Wishing him the very best, I too thought he showed a lot of dignity last year when all the BS was going on.

Who was the 9 that night? I had assumed it was Godinet seeing as how he got the start in round 1.
