I don’t know why there are so many derogatory references to age in this thread. Age has little to do with it. A 35 year old could have followed Wests or Balmain pre-merger. Does that mean that we should disregard the opinion of all over 35s?
I’m 74 and I reckon just about all over 70s on this forum do not support HBG’s actions this week. That includes old Magpies and Tigers.

I have a concern with age when it comes to people in position of power, in this case the HBH board. Age has an impact on cognitive functioning. While it can begin as early as 30-40 it usually declines significantly after 70 years of age. Some lucky people maintain fully functioning cognitive ability for their entire lives. Unfortunately I’ve witnessed several close friends, over 70 destroy their families, friendships and businesses and leave behind a trail of destruction when they passed away. Early succession planning is the best safeguard, empower the next generation to take over before the decline sets in and perspective becomes clouded.

There's no use having a CEO or a board if they don't have any autonomy. They may as well just appoint themselves and extend the HBG board meetings by an hour and kill 2 birds with one stone.

I am a Wests Tigers fan....
There aren't to many of us left old magpies fans, but i am in my 50's and I have supported the West's tigers for more than 50% of my time as rugby league fan.
HBG could go and .#$$%%^ selves.

We need to push for members voting rights
