Well the talk about these 3 won't go away so hopefully they are all close to being signed. It would certainly be a massive shot in the arm for the club if Lote, Cayless and Lima do join the club. 😛ray:

Exactly….would be more than happy just for Lima.....but to get the other 2 as well.........Can't wait.......

Recruitment gets an A++ then........

I have got no idea how they have pulled this off, if they have. But it is surely a miracle!

I wonder if there is someone that is being let go to accommodate this influx? Payten perhaps; he was keen for a stint in the UK.

Im loving the idea of Lima and Cayless, but not so keen on Lote. Dont get me wrong, he could be a sensational buy, but i just dont really like the guy. No doubt i will if he starts winning us games 😛ray:

This will be good. Im not totally sold on Cayless though. He never grabbed me as anything special when he was in Australia. Ok player but and better than some other options.

Just something I want to clarify with some people who may know the answers to the following questions,

1) Did the Melbourne Storm make Lima an offer to stay ?
2) Did Cayless have any concrete interest from other clubs ?
3) Do people think Cayless is a better player than Danny Galea?

1.Melb refused Lima a release previously, but now they are under Cap pressure, they are willing to let him go. He's still contracted to Melb for another 2 years i think. Im sure they would love to keep him.

2.Not sure. I think Penrith were keen,

3.Cayless is a front rower and Galea a backrower. We're short on Props but have a stack of backrowers, so it doesnt really matter if Galea is better, we can cover his loss (even though i hate losing him).

1) Don't think so ( I heard that Storm were considering paying some of Lima's contract because their having cap trouble)
2) He had medical tests with Penrith
3) If he gets over his injurys, plus he's a prop. Also with Galea's match payments Cayless will probably take up around about the same cap space as him

1\. Storm offered him up so I dont know if they have changed their tack…the signings of Smith, Cronk, Slater, Inglis White, all in the one year would have them under pressure one would think...

2 Bronco's have entered the race....

3\. Agreed....Apples and Oranges

IMO he was a huge reason the roosters made the GF 3 years running (i think he was there for the 3rd) him and morley were really hurting sides back then

If we get those 3 then we would have just about the most talanted side in the NRL. Not even Sheens and Royce could de rail us - well they probably could find a way to finish 9th again.

Anyway after years of really bad roster management, signings and on field failure we appear to be getting our act together. These coaches are on borrowed time however at least we appear to be finally prepared to make the moves required to change things. Getting rid of dead wood and replacing them with players in positions of weakness.

Those 3 signings sealed and next year could/should be a great year for us.

If the club can pull this off, 2010 will become the most eagerly anticipated year in the history of Wests Tigers with the strongest side we have fielded by a country mile.

We can thank humphries for this IMO although i reckon longmuir would have got us into a similar position nonetheless, have steve folkes around is only a positive too.

is there any possibility that these signings (potentially) (two props) is the influence of steven folkes? i think tuquiri was talking to us before folkes came.

Our bench could be amazing , i would start gibbs cause i think he and galloway are working well together, and just look at our bench 😱pen_mouth:

14.Flanagan/Moors/Gower/Mataka
15.Cayless
16.Lima
17.Payton

The tigers haven't come out and denied it on the website so it could be closer than we all think.

Imagine if we signed lote, how much he would be able to help mullaney
