big boy. great skills. and now that we lost piggy…. we need a kicker!
@cunno said:Given his ability and how he finished off 2010 it's difficult to go past Murdoch. However as mentioned in this thread already, should TNT not return it could open up an opportunity for a back, maybe Jake Mullaney.

Ha ha ha - you & I both know it will be Schirnack if given a chance!!
Ben M-M is also a special to show his wares in 2011!!~
Hey Red….I was thinking the other day (worry I know) that Jason Schirnack Jnr is the Polar opposite of Todd Payten and as such would give us that little bit of extra MONGREL and PUNCH... we lack at times...
C'mon Sheens give him a crack....
Bash bro is one angry angry MAN....
@Tiger_Tomato said:Penalties are so clstly in the modern game, can we really afford to have some one like Schirnack in the side, if he is as aggresive as everyone is saying.
The refs will be pretty quick to stamp that out. I'm all for controlled agression but if a penalty costs us then i think everyone will beall over him.

@supercoach said:Big call, but I see Woods maybe leap frogging Fifita. I might be right off the mark but I think Fifita will be targeted in his second year and maybe might slip off the pace a little. Where I see Woods as a traditional hard slogging front rower with a big engine, but its only crystal ball stuff we should get a better idea in three months time

He plays with controlled aggression TT!! He was the back-up captain to Nicholls for NYC in 2009 - so he has never been considered undisciplined or thuggish!!! He could be a Michael Crocker type player for us (without the penalties)!
In my view he is similar to Dean Pay - who was as tough as they come - but far from dirty!!!

That's fine redemption. I was just wondering becuase I haven't seen much of him. Cool it

Definitely a talent but too young and has too many 5/8 in front of him for a FG spot. He's no guarantee to start in the season in the NYC as he's still eligible for Flegg.
@redemption said:Don't mistake my overt over-use of exclamation marks as aggression - sorry if you thought it was an attack (you'll certainly know if I am on the attack)!! Cheers!

Maybe we should formalise a scale for you… like this? haha

@tiger05 said:I voted for Schirnack. I haven't seen him play much but when I saw him he was unbelievable. I thought he made a lot more impact than Dwyer and I think Dwyer can play.
I like that fact that he can bust the line. It would give Benji / Lui & Moltzen another option.
**I have no idea where you fit them all in**.

that is the issue 05!
I have watched a heap of jason - & to me he is the most exciting young back-row prospect that i had seen in the lower grades since luke o'donnell!
I would be devastated if he moves on before getting the chance to prove his worth - but the fact is we have an embarassment of riches in the entire forward rotation currently!!
However - if given the chance due to injury or whatever reason - i have no doubts he will prove hard to displace!
