Matt woods is Braith Anasta 2.0

Who is Matt woods? What position? Will he be under 20s next year?

He is a backrower / 5-8th with a kicking game and also converts. I think he'll play 20's next year. He was injured for the backpart of this season but was 18th man on a couple of occasions.

he is in this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7o9YGbN0nw

Was chatting to the guy at work about Matt Woods, as he dated his mother. From what I can tell they are a family rich on Balmain tradition and are Tigers tragics.

He is not big but has a good technique and is highly thought of. I believe he plays second row.

Hope he and Vela kick on next year.

Can't believe Mayer has let Santi go. What a great game he had against the Raiders in a losing team. Anyway, Goodluck to him at the Eels …. I am sure he will make the grade.

Any port in the storm for a dig, knuckle.

We tried to keep him, Mayer didn't "let Santi go".

Did Mayer run over your dog?

According to the Media Brendan Santi has a get out clause in his contract with the Eels following Ricky Stuart's departure, while it would be great to see him activate the clause would Grant Mayer then be in a position to offer him a contract?.

Apparently the Eels offered waaaay overs for him….he'd have to accept a reduction to return I presume

I have heard similar talk, word is that he has been offered money in line with an experienced player.
good luck to him.

If it is a Klemmer type contract, I wouldn't blame him for staying. He's no certainty to get a regular spot here either. He would walk into Pawwa's starting side at the moment.

And if they did good luck to the kid , your not in the game forever and he might of been stuck behind a few others along the way and had to wait another 2-3 years to get those dollars at the Tigers

And if he is good enough he will get the recognition even playing at Parra

He will probably stand out like a sore thumb over in Eel land

I know we cant keep them all but if given the choice between Lovett for 100k or Santi for 150k i would go for Santi everytime. Both are workaholics, but Santi has a much bigger impact in attack and has a lot more X factor about him. Lovett really hasn't done a tihng all season except tackle. And while you need those guys that make lots of tackles and tighten the ruck they have to offer something in attack.

Highly unethical and implausible, but i'd swap santi and offer the eels lovett if we could! No room for both players, but of the two Santi is much better.

Interesting that Lovette was selected in the train on squad for the Junior Kangeroos and Santi was not. So the selectors seem to know who has the most potential.

Santi & Tedesco have been selected to play for italy in the WC
thats why they have been overlooked for the junior roos

I wonder what Mayers definition of "overs" is ?

Is it 1k, 2k, 5k, 50k, 100k+ ???

Since you're such a fan why don't you ask him. :unamused:

Santi looks to be twice the player that Lovett is at the moment IMO. Lovett hasn't shown a lot so far but the people who watch the WT NYC games regularly would be the best ones to make the call on who is better out of the two.

Santi was picked for Italy. Probably prefers to play the adults World Cup

I watch alot of NYC (and other junior footy) and if i was force to choose only 1 id go Santi.

However I suspect that if you asked a number of avid watches of under age footy, you'd get varying responses.

IMO both are good, and both look tobe career NRL players.

Both have very good work rate. Santi is probably a touch more athletic, Lovett a touch more physical.

I think claims that either is significantly better than the other are off the mark.

Sure. He will be lucky to get a couple of games before they are eliminated.

On the other hand, the Junior Kangeroos will be hard to beat and will get more games and more publicity.

But what the hell, let's play with the adults.
