Brent Naden #256

Such a shame because he has been great to start the year... Finally!

Hopefully there is no ligament damage. A dislocated patella can sometimes be sorted out by just putting it back in place.

Did for me, but we'll have to wait and see. 😦
Yeah when I watched the game at the pub it had no commentary.

Once home I watched again and they said he looked pretty good all things considered and might only be a week or 2 rest.

Fingers crossed for him.

On another note, Greg Alexander or Voss said he wasn't talking to the coach at some stage. Did anyone catch that?

Dislocation - Doubt it will be a couple weeks.

Was well reported he had a dust up with Benji at some point last year?

I did hear that actually. Said he'd admitted to a "blow up" with Marshall last season, which is very concerning!

Hopefully there's no more of that going on.

NRL is shit when it comes to injury updates. Clubs keep their cards close to their chest. NFL publishes injury news after training everyday, who participated, who is on injury reserve lists or inactive etc.. They have a real-time salary cap clock too on their for each franchise. We're not a serious sport. Corrupt to the bone

My guess is once he and his management worked out in the offseason no other club was interested in him he decided to do what his coach wanted.
I much prefer to see the coach running the show and not the players.

If only we had we had a decent centre prospect coming through .. T’oa and Doueihi probably by default now with Olam and Naden gone

T’oa definitely needs a rocket up him
Ah he's frustrating To'a...

I've always felt he really has something but as time goes on - and the glimpses of it become more sporadic - I've all but lost hope he will ever actually take the next step.

I'm a fan of his, but even I have to admit at almost any other club he'd be gone by now.

Again, can just hope he finds a bit of... Energy? Enthusiasm?... Something. 😐

Thought he was OK in the trial especially in defense

Plays his game in fits and starts , I still think about that game he played v Val Holmes when he looked like a totally different player, but nothing before or since.
A real enigma !
