While I have already had a response to Smeg on his criticism of the comments of the commentators I always take it badly when my fellow Community Radio enthusiasts are bagged for their efforts.
I have been involved in bush footy for many years as the publicity officer for a now sadly defunct club and did a great deal of work in the mainstream media and the community run media and to discredit the community run side of things to me is a great disservice.
You get far better coverage with what you submit to community media than you do to the mainstream media, the commercial side will cut your 'article' down to practically nothing and often take all the credit for it while the community media will try and get all the info across intact.
I live in the country so I don't know how much media support is available to Balmain in the local region, my guess is it wouldn't be much.

From the comments on here sounds like Simona has been a real star in his first game at the back

Commentators were not overly impressed with him. Blew a couple of tries it sounded like. From the radio sounded like Chisolm, Hitchcox and Harris were having blinders.

Be good to hear from someone at the game to get there thoughts on who went well. Cant have been anyone have crap games with that scoreline.

Balmain have just repelled a couple of Manly attacking raids, Politoni back on and **Balmain fail to kick on the last.**

Good to see the state cup teams are using the NRL style of play at least…
