Huddersfield Giants star Brett Ferres has been linked with NRL sides Wests Tigers and Gold Coast Titans after he was transfer-listed.
The Giants provisionally suspended Ferres last month, just four days after he helped England win the Test series over New Zealand. On Tuesday Huddersfield revealed that suspension had been lifted but he had been placed on the transfer list.
"Huddersfield Giants have concluded the investigation into the conduct away from the field which led to the suspension of Brett Ferres," a statement from the Super League club read.
"That suspension has been lifted and Mr Ferres disciplined in line with company policy. Mr Ferres has also been transfer-listed. "The club will be making no further comment at this stage."
NRL side Sydney Roosters were linked with Ferres earlier this month but that move appears to have broken down as the Roosters wanted to take the back-row forward on a season-long loan deal, but the Giants are seeking a permanent switch and a fee.
Ferres, however, could still be heading Down Under as the Huddersfield Examiner has reported at least two other NRL clubs are keen with other reports suggesting the Tigers and the Titans are the interested parties, while Super League rivals Salford Red Devils and Hull FC have also been linked.
