This would be amazing. I believe they’re looking at doing this only for Saturday and Sunday games. Apparently Thursday and Friday would be difficult for lower grade players to travel given many of them have other jobs.

Clubs will lose a fair bit of moulah with three grades

I still think double headers at the big grounds is the way for the future ...if Fantasy Rd at Suncorp has proven anything you will draw massive crowds ....

I'd be having a double header every weekend on a Sunday 2.00 pm /4.00 pm

Sensational - if you can do it PVL....I think the game has been screaming
for this to come back. It was always part of RL, to be able to watch the
young guys coming through, following their progress.

It's also a big Yes, Yes, Yes from me.

Can understand not doing this for games not played on a weekend.

Agreed. Nothing like a sunny Sunday game, grabbing a feed with your mates for lunch at a nearby pub then heading over to watch the lower grades whilst sinking some beers :+1:

Wonderful idea! A great way to grow the game without adding extra teams. Could we get the ABC to televise a few of those games?

The prestige and encourigment for the young players would be enormous,plus bigger crowds and better atmosphere.

A waste of time if there is still an hour or more between reserve grade and NRL.

Won't remember a thing about the first grade game if you're not careful.

Well done to V’landys - he really knows what fans want.

Also - clubs should have to field three teams under their name/colours to participate in NRL. Eg Tigers vs Storm is all three grades.

Two games is good, reserve grade and 1st grade.

Double headers are also good however, it gets complicated with member reserved seating.

Love the idea of bringing back the 3 games on gameday. More games for your bucks. I used to love getting to the footy early and watching all 3 grades you get to see the kids in u20s and reserves develop.
