Yes and no. Coaches are like Politicians where they usually only think short term to keep their job, if you have the right recruitment and management team that are strong enough to think long term for the best interests of the club it's a bonus. Coaches need to get the best out of the cattle they have

So obviously the aging Sezer playing in the UK was seen as a better option than Cogger playing NRL for the Panthers.
And that caused a fall out ! Please, that just sounds like common sense to me but I’d still like to know what Sheens and Co think is so wrong with Cogger ?

so Bellamy and Bennett don't get the players they want to coach ? Course they do.
Two players have come out and said Sheens and Marshall wanted them but were over ruled by the board and or Fulton.
The coach as long as it doesn't cripple the salary cap should get the players they want

Who are the 2 players ?
Of course they should get the players they want but I think they should also listen to feedback from the recruitment guy before they make a final decision.
And who/why is airing this dirty internal laundry ?

As far as asalary goes who cares players dont sign here anyway we have plenty of cap space...
As for Croft the guy is a garbage player defensively and in attack.
A Brooks Fainu halves combo for 2 years for what is on the market should have been what happened.
If we had got Moses for Brooks or even Johnson for brooks then yeah I get a good move.
Good to see the club is all rowing in the same direction, Fulton had a Shiite show at Manly and looks like the same is happening here.

As far as Joffa goes they were direct quotes when asked .
As for Brooks yeah I know for a fact the Manly offer came after the deadline was put on him by the board, and Sheens and benji definitely both wanted him at the club. I have no idea about Fulton's opinion on Brooks but would think it was a no.

Croft and Brooks are identical players. No difference. And Fainu/Brooks combo would have left us screwed still because we'd have 2 X 5/8s with no halfback. 6 and 7 are extremely different roles

And tell me again why they wanted to keep Brooks but the board wouldn’t increase their offer. To undermine the coaches in favour of Fulton or to bi fixate their decision to hire Fulton ?
And people are always slagging the Board, all we’ve heard on this forum for at least the last 18 months is that Brooks must go.
So now he’s gone. The people must be pleased with that outcome.

Fainu would learn nothing from Brooks.
It'd hinder any development.

Brooks couldn't do anything for the Tigers.
The right move was made.
