Broncos Look Good??

The reason for the ??? in the title is that I want to watch them again next week to see if it was us that made them look good (turnstile defence etc)

The Broncos looked very sharp tonight. Practically at the end of every 6 they were able to put an attacking kick in. They played great.

Regardless of the 4 point difference I thought they looked a class above us and I never felt we were truely in the game.

On paper from 1-17, Id swap almost every Tigers player for who they marked in the Broncos tonight besides probably 4.

They are a great side. There backs (like every other team we play against), are just so much more potent.

Very true Milford. I had a glimmer of hope at 10-4 but deep down I couldn't see it happening. Thank god I took Wests with the line.

They minimise the impact of errors and have a general plan for scoring (attacking kicks). They don't look good and their style isn't something that league should idealise. It is effective however

They controlled the game from start to finish. Had it not been for last pass dropsies the score would of been 20-0 at one stage. We scored two tries when it didnt matter.

Yes they played good.

They have by far the best all round forward pack in the game, Petro and Hannant just eat metres and the back row are all athletic freaks who could play centres or front row. Add to that Peter Wallace who controls the game so well (has to be NSW halfback) and the attack out wide they are all class

Throw away comment Monkey. Care to enlighten me? 4 wins out of 5, this being their 4th on the trot?
Are you saying they are not backing their praise up?

i think this was our best performance so far and we never really looked like winning,so if they are not the real deal we are in for a real long season.

Made all the easier by constant 7 day turn around to play every Friday night thus far with the next two to weeks. They have the pleasure of having a consistent timeframe to recover and plan for next week whilst other teams ( not just us) are left to have 4 or 5 day turn arounds.

They were beatable. The Tigers just went flat through the middle part of the game, especially the 40-60 minute period. The 5th tackle options were just plain lazy and obviously very affected by fatigue from losing two reserves. Had we played with the same intensity and spark as the last 10minutes I dare say it would have been a very different result.

I thought they were there to get the points/no injuries and get out of town this game to them was a nothing no build up nothing we were at our peak win at all costs ..they were at about 75% IMO just doing enough for the points they had heaps in the tank and this also shows how far backwards we are from last year.

Every time Brisbane carries the ball they have support players inside and outside of them pushing into holes. We on the other hand hit the ball up one out and the rest of the side are standing on their heels five metres behind the play.
