Broncos v Cowboys. Does anyone really care?

I have spoken to loads of mates who usually get together for a few drinks, a feed and watch the grand final and this year we are giving it the flick. Sure I'll probably have it on in the background but no one really cares about the game. I can see this as being a real ratings problem for channel 9 everywhere bar QLD. I hate the Broncos and dislike the cowboys so would prefer the cowboys to win but really if I miss the game and only see the highlights I won't be all that worried. What does everyone else think?

Going to the game for a cooperate function. Probably wouldn't of taken to much notice if I wasn't but in saying that it should be a good game.

The game they played in week 1 of the finals was arguably the best game of the last 3 yrs. For that reason alone I'm looking forward to the rematch. Hoping the Broncos chalk up premiership no 7.

I'm sure someone does Tiger Tim. I don't particularly care who wins it in the end - I'm tipping the Broncos, but it would also be good to see the Cowboys win their first ever premiership. I'm looking forward to watching it for the same reason that GNR said above - both these teams play quality rugby league.

Actually looking forward to this one,I like the Cowboys,JT absolute champion of the game, they have been ripped off in the two previous seasons…..the bronks have over achived this year on the back of the Bennett factor and a fabulous six and seven. Love to see the Cows win, especially for blokes like JT and Coote, but also love what the bronks have achieved this year

I'm looking forward to it Tiger Tim. I have the evening off from work, and having some friends coming over for dinner and we'll be watching the GF together. Hope Cowboys win it.
It's all good. Enjoy it, as there's no more footy for a while after this.

Agree. I'm so glad Storm is not in it Flip

I'm looking forward to it. Two teams who play real football, none of that wrestling rubbish. Reminds me sort of 05 when the two most attractive and spirited teams made the final.

Also, Johnathan Thurston is the man. Can't go past him. And after the last three years, its about time the Cowboys got a break from referee madness.

Spot on…

Brisbane play a good brand of football, as do the Cowboys. This has the potential to be a cracker of a game, hope the Cowboys get their first GF win

I agree with the sentiments of a few people here. Even though I find the thought of Brisbane winning another grand final totally uninspiring, they have played excellent football consistently throughout the season and definitely deserve to be there. However, what makes it interesting for me is the prospect of the Cowboys winning their first premiership. They've been the underachievers of the comp for years, also played excellent attacking football and, to be honest, I'd like to see JT win a trophy as he's been an ornament to the game with his skill, toughness and sportsmanship. His sportsmanship was never more evident than when his team were dudded repeatedly by the officials in previous semis and, yet, he handled it with remarkable composure even though you could see he was seething. Go JT and the Cowboys!

I'd like to know why rugby league fans would be reluctant to watch a GF featuring 2 of the only sides who played real football this season.
This game will be a cracker and even though I'm in Khao Lak Thailand I've already picked out a bar to watch it. I think it could go either way justifIably but would like to see Thursty get the ring he has deserved for years.

I don't have a huge interest and am only a 50/50 chance to watch it. However, I would love for the Cowboys to beat the Broncos basically to have the bragging rights in Qld and the Broncos are my least favorite team.

I sure hope the Wests Tigers watch it… They sure could learn how to play Rugby League properly!

I will probably be working so I expect to miss it. Not fussed on wins it though.

True

If we can get to watch another game to match that one I can't wait

Tough call result wise as the Broncos have never lost a GF and I think both teams have about the same amount of GF experience

Cowbees away record has been good this season and I reckon that the Cow lost the first semi because a few passes that needed to be crisp and accurate weren't

Worried about Thurston and this groin injury he has been carrying and the effect it is having on his goal kicking

I would love to see the Cowboys win for the fans up here but I'm just not sure at this stage

Heart says Cowboys , head hasn't made its mind up yet tip wise

I am a Wests Tigers fan first and foremost but love Rugby League.

Has all the hallmarks to be a cracker of a Grand Final and both teams have so much attacking ability.

I have been backing Cowboys since the start of the season as I envy their playing roster plus they have JT. Morgan and Granville provided the missing pieces which should allow the Cowboys to finally win.

As many have pointed out WT should watch the game and learn how to play successful brand of NRL.

Love to see Cowboys and JT man of the match.

Never understand why people hate teams because of their location. Not sure why this has to become a NSW v QLD thing. You never see Queenslanders say this when 2 NSW teams play. Gus was beside himself with delight on the weekend bringing SOO into it. Don't buy into the media sensationalism, it's what they want.

The Tigers have sucked any enthusiasm I've had for the game this year, I watched Friday nights game because that's what the old boy was watching when I was at the parents place. Was the first game I'd watched in weeks.

Might watch the grand final, might not. Not fussed on who wins it, the final four were the most deserving sides to be there and at the very least there'll be an entertaining grand final.
