Broncos vs Storm *SPOILERS*

Not a fan of either club but hoping Storm get up as my hatred for Brisbane is unsurpassed.

Hopefully not too many dodgy calls from the refs

Watch how many players are moving when Melb have the ball…. Then watch on Sunday when we have it.
Not in the same stratosphere

Sometimes I wish I was a Melbourne supporter, imagine watching football like that for the best part of 20 years, 64% win rate and they've only missed the finals 3 times ever, one of those being the salary cap penalty year (and the other two they finished 9th and 10th).

Yet for all that they have won just as many premierships as WT in the last 17 years. Consistency is great for stats but I'd be happy just for lightning to strike every 10 years and grab a premiership like '05.

This is true… but I also saw passes go to ground..lost balls..pushed passes..penalties given away late in sets (actually that's more about Klien) ..Munster, Slater and Cronk give up 7 tackle sets...yet they defend these errors so well and never drop their bundle...I wish just for 1 game Wests Tigers could do the same..

Hearing the commentators talk about signing our wingers from reserve grade is the thing I'd like not to hear anymore.

If that didn't happen I reckon we'd win a few more games as well.

Its a good point, they were far from perfect and flogged the Broncs at home. They can improve a fair bit on that performance. Head and shoulders the best side in the comp.

That's the difference…
We used to be... 'you score 30 well score 31'
They are... "well keep you to one or two tries and go from there"

Gee whiz Melbourne looked amazing.

They are my 2nd favourite team for a reason.

Addo Carr seems to have also lost the lair from his game with us - just goes about his business, and quietly high fives when he scores.

Benji Looked great in parts, but Melbourne were just…. wow, something else.

Notwithstanding the fact that Broncos were missing Boyd, Oates, Milford, McGuire etc. That's a sizeable chunk of talent, Melbourne were full strength. And Slater, Cronk, Chambers and Captain Caveman were rested from last week whereas the Broncos Origin players didn't take the weeks rest option.
Great to see the Broncos cop a flogging at any time. They didn't seem to have much possession though especially in good field position.
Melbourne looked good but it is a long way out to be looking to call off the comp. A crucial injury or 2 will change any teams premiership credentials from here on in.

Melbourne might have beaten a half strength Broncos side, but last week they came within a point of beating a full strength Roosters side when they were depleted. They are the team to beat by a country mile.

Funnily enough the only time we even come close to playing that way is when we play them! The Storm have rarely beaten us comfortably. For some reason, we have been able to compete with them in most matches, regardless of table position. You'd think they would run riot over us given the stark differences in talent, structure, culture and attitude, but that hasn't been the case. It's very strange.

Roosters minus Boyd Cordner. A pretty significant out.
Storm are the team to beat no doubt, as long as they lose again on GF day then all is good. Can't get enough of seeing that.
