Broncos vs Storm *SPOILERS*

Sometimes I wish I was a Melbourne supporter, imagine watching football like that for the best part of 20 years, 64% win rate and they've only missed the finals 3 times ever, one of those being the salary cap penalty year (and the other two they finished 9th and 10th).

Yet for all that they have won just as many premierships as WT in the last 17 years. Consistency is great for stats but I'd be happy just for lightning to strike every 10 years and grab a premiership like '05.

Are you being sarcastic?

Forget who the team is, I just want a taste of that continued success.

Yep I don't get this attitude. I dislike the storm but would prefer to have their continued success over our pray for a miricle any day

But they can't have as much fun on their forum board as we can they? Just boring group hugs and back slapping all the time. This place is like the pub with no beer - you can bring all your gripes here and take it out on the suffering team haha

But one GF every ten year is better than average for 16 teams on the comp.

Sarcastic? Nope. Factual. Check the record books. Storm 1 premiership 2012
Tigers 1 premiership 2005
Their continued finals appearances are great compared to ours but the ultimate goal is a premiership, no use being a team that is ultra consistent but never wins the title.

The record books say they've won 2 premierships.

I take great solace in watching our bumbling fumbling pathetic displays knowing we are ultimately on par with the pretty much weekly brilliance of Melb

Yes it would be nice to, at least, be in contention for the prize every single year, instead of constantly being one of the also rans!

Always best to read other posts properly I reckon. In the last 17 years (since WT inception) the Storm have won 1 premiership.

Our weekly performances are nowhere near Melbourne's and no-one has said that they are.
Factually both clubs' premiership tally since 2000 is equal. Fact.
Look at Buffalo Bills in the NFL. In the early 1990's they were a super-consistent, quality team. They made 4 straight Superbowls yet lost them all. So for all their dominance they ultimately achieved nothing. Storm are close to being in the same boat when all is said and done and the facts of the argument are referenced.
