Brooks at 9

Said it since the very start

Brooks has never been a 7 - he lacks game management skills

He is a running 6, a bit Cameron Munster like when he takes the line on

Marshal at 7 Brooks as a running five eigth

Already playing 5/8. Benji mentioned it in the pregame of the bulldogs clash

@ElleryHanley

Not sure how you think he was ever going to manage last nights game; forwards backpeddling, lopsided penalty count, 30% possession, a brain dead 6 and the worst 9 of all time.

Marshall @ 9 in attack , defend with Brooks in the 9 position and either Matterson or Lawrence @ 6

That could work, although let's be honest, Benji has been better at setting up our outside back plays than Brooks, so I'd prefer to get Brooks at 9 in attack and run Benji/J Rey in the halves.

If Benji plays 9 in attack , Brooks is guaranteed to get the ball when he wants it and it will be precise ,quick ball

I see the point that Brooks offers a running game /threat from 9 but I just don't think he'd back himself and that the one advantage he has at 9 would be wasted

Didn't Jason Taylor try this once and everybody couldn't stop saying how bad of a decision it was? :joy: :joy:

If memory serves me correctly (it may not) but that was when JT decided that Taylorball would win us a game.Probably the most negative plan i have seen for a very long time

He is really quick off mark as well which could benefit for a kicking game from dummy half.

Give if a try.

I know Mick Ennis was saying on fox that he'd be a sensational hooker.

got held to blot didn't we v Cowboys

Brooks might not be a very good halfback in a lot of people’s eyes, but he’s a halfback. Scenarios about how he’d go as a running 6 or a 9 is not dealing with reality. He’ll retire as a 7. Like it or lump it.

Not judging on last night.

He has never done it.

It's starting to get annoying..

What is GEO,,,Brooks playing at 9 or not being able to control the game...

buzz words..

Yep I'm all for it, at least to try him there, nothing to lose and he's not improving at 7.

A change might make him see the game differently and a new 7 might spice things up because we look stale

@TIGER that’s exactly right. The results speak for themselves atm unfortunately, pack has been up to scratch for a good majority of the year - Robbie was playing quality football.

Now look at us :O

Hopefully more likely a 6.
