That argument is only for 5 year olds apparently
More 5 year old type behaviour.
Grow up junior.

Don't be trying to roast me then begging me for truces in private messages when you carry on like this.

Embarrassing.

Well, when you all but tell to me to eff in those messages and continue to play the ball and not the man, why should i still care about what I said to you. The issue is you mate. You and your henchmem continuously follow me around trying to antagonise me, then if I dare stand up for myself you step back and point the finger at me as being the problem.

Henchmen lmao.
Have another break for awhile kiddo.

That's a big call, not unreasonable and realistic, but nonetheless big.
Just how I see it. Madge has turned Brooks into a competitor and is shaping him into a leader. In my opinion that is what he lacked when the tigers were relying on him and Moses to steer the side around and even those years with Benji. He is now the senior half and Madge has only empathised that by giving him more responsibility.
Watching how competitive the Newcastle side has been the past three weeks and with good on ground leadership he will flourish. Clune is good, but he is not in the same class as Luke Brooks. And just like the opinions of Luke Brooks, Joey Johns cops just as much slack on here but he is a brilliant mind and one I love listening to. He would turn Brooks into a top 5 halfback like he has done with Moses, DCE, Keary at the clubs before.
But just my opinion. I’m sure others will laugh but I think he could be their missing piece.

I was a supporter of Brooks, but when something has to give, it would be better for him and us if there was a change.

I feel desperately sorry for the guy. People are giving it to him after the end of the warriors game when he didn't take control. Whilst it's his job to control, not even Cooper cronk would be able to sort that mess. Let's get some context......

His spine was Laurie, Madden, Simpkin/Liddell. Not exactly the team you would have if going to war, let's face it. And on top of that, in the last ten minutes, I don't think I have seen so many glory hogs pushing their way into dummy half and trying to run themselves from 10m out.

So even if it was Cronk calling the shots, there is no regular dummy half service in the last 10minutes. You just don't get the ball anyway. Every tool wants to run themselves, Gildart, Simpkins, Luciano, Noffa, Madden, all got into dummy half at those stages and cut off everything, every single play the ball.

So to bash Brooks I see unfair in my opinion. But hey, plenty on here think he is the reason for our demise and that's their opinion, but how about some context. He rarely gets the service he needs, has not been behind a decent forward pack ever, is always on the back foot with no time to make decisions. It's no wonder what he does is in effective and often poor. If you think changing the person in the 7 will improve the forwards dominating, a decent and consistent dummy half, remove the glory hogs, then go ahead. Do it.

Someone may have responded but as a halfback he should be barking orders on what to be done and take control and blast them if they don’t listen . As halfback he is the genneral .

Look at Moses last night he blew up deluxe when he had whole set , set up for field goal and Mahoney went for glory play .
This imo is Brooks flaw. Not his bombs everyone complains about ( they should be complaining yo Madge as that would be his game plan otherwise he would hooked brooks long ago for doing those kicks )

Yet people believe this and still think it’s a given he’ll be shopped around. The club see him as an asset, you don’t have to agree, but denying that is the equivalent to arguing the sky is green. Right @bigsiro?

There is no validity or credibility any respectable tigers fan should get who suggest Brooks is a good player, worthy of staying our halfback.

It’s simply not a valid opinion anymore that he is a good player or even potentially good halfback.
Rather it’s an objective, evidence-based fact that he is not.

I agreed with the OP and am only too happy to pause the Brooks bashing as I agree it’s boring.
But if the Brooks supporters (not necessarily you) want to continue goading the critics by provoking with invalid opinions, then those lies will be shut down - as they should be.
Leave it at that.

Its posts like this which proves how poison this topic is. It’s almost like when people argue religion and politics and believe so stridently that they are right and any counter opinion is not just wrong, they must be trolling. I’m as equally comfortable with my view as you are based on the amount of games he’s played and coaches that have shown faith in him. There’s at least the 4 we have had and at least one other in Newcastle’s coach.

What a foolish argument. Where are those coaches now?
He has been the death of them. And unless Madge drops him he will see him off too.

Perhaps its true Luke asked twice for a release then 😱 ?

Now there’s a stupid argument - what about the coach the Tigers killed before Brooks made grade?

Comparing the Brooks arguments to that of religion only goes to show the unwavering faith Brooks fans have. And how potentially unhealthy it is.

It also demonstrates how evidence or fact play no part in your decision.

Sadly, faith doesn’t win premierships. And once again this is another irrelevant metaphor and argument for a basis for any footballing decisions.
