Brooks & Moses always wanted to stay

With Tedesco off contract, these 2 should be on the back burner imo, particularly Brooks. The club needs to invest everything they have imo into retaining him, then worry about the halves.

Pascoe has confirmed the club is continuing negotiations to sign Brooks and Moses long term.

Along with about another five other clubs I would imagine

Well the roosters signed Keary for 2 years, they should have no use for Moses now.

Mate your talking the Chooks, they would buy Moses just so another team could not have him!!!

After Nov 1 most of the current NRL halves will be up for contract negotiations for the 2018 season - and with the increase in the salary cap the offers going around to retain and or attract them will ensure some large increases in their value
If fans think some are overpriced now, may have to adjust that way of thinking

Not so sure. Increased competition (with a large supply of halves) should result in lower prices. Moses and brooks wouldn't have us over a barrel, we could look at plenty of other options on the market.

The salary cap will inflate everyone, but should all be relative.

But there isn't a large supply of halves. At least proven good ones. That's why prices are high. Supply is low and demand is high so even the more speculative prospects command a higher base salary.

But yes you are right in that all increases should be relative. All positions will get paid more therefore the percentage difference in salary by position should remain more or less the same as it is now.

You are probably right, but they will have Pearce, Keary, Hastings and Matterson signed for next year.
