He really should have pulled up and not scored.

Rats and fiddlesticks Cochise.
How often do we see things that should be pulled up but aren't.
Lots of times.
Brooks did exactly the right thing to keep going.

It hit him in the arm, it was always going to get pulled up.

I disagree. You couldn't possibly know that for certain at the time and Brooks couldn't know that for certain either.
So, his natural instinct as yours would be, keep going for a match winning try.

Just clarify this: Is it a knock on when the ball hits a player above the elbow?

The problem was it hit his foot 1st played at…then the arm knock on..If it was just the arm you could argue charge down play on

What a load of rubbish.. you pin your ears back..

Not if you know you’ve knocked on mate ..
The one play long range try’s always get referred to the bunker .

Penalty ..Voluntary tackle .. Cummins special..

? yeah most likely..
Should’ve faked a hammy

Got to the 40 and try and attempt another 2 pt field goal

Then c he asked it down to score ?

If he pulled up, it is less likely that the replay gets shown a dozen times & the regulars pop up with how slow is Brooks, dumb play, he pulled up etc....

The call was absolutely correct. Hits his arm around the bicep after it hits his foot, which is a knock on every day. Fair call.

Doesn’t matter, we did not deserve to win.

We should have been leading 30-0 at half time with the amount of players they had out..

No we didn't deserve to win, but we also had plenty out. But nobody mentions that - like ever.

The Warriors couldn't even name a 21 man squad they were missing so many players, we had near 70% possession in the first half and couldn't put the game out of reach, that is one poor excuse you are trying to offer up there

Just saying we had a lot out too. Not saying we weren't awful. But we had plenty out. You can't change facts.

We've been one of the most fortunate teams regarding injuries this year. Our spine has barely been injured all year. We can't use this excuse. And the Warriors had more players out and we should have won. You can't change facts.

This is a ridiculous argument. The speed at which things happen on the field, especially that charge down/ play by Brooks, he never would have noticed. Brooks had the speed. He made the right choice, it just wasn't to be.

Once again, ridiculous, unfair argument.

What a childish response. We can't use injuries as an xcuse when the team we played were RAVAGED by injuries, and on the whole, we have been fortunate in that area this year. It's a reflection on how lacking in quality our first grade team is and how shallow our depth is. But please, continue to roll your eyes and live in denial.

Yes. Any part of the arm constitutes a knock-on, I checked the rule after the match.

NRL rules
CHARGING-DOWN is blocking the path of the ball with hands, arm or body as it rises from an opponent's kick

How does this not apply to the Brooks no try?
I was blowing up last night about it and thought maybe I didn't know the rule , so I checked the rule book, but I reckon the NRL doesn't know their own rule.

Can't charge down your own kick mate - Played at it with his foot, Hit his hand after... Just have a lie down, You'll come good.

Don't be stupid. You can't acknowledge that we had players out too. If you read my comments, I agree, we were awful. And we also had players out. You on the other hand refuse to accept that.
