Wests Tigers can provide the following Chemist Warehouse Injury Update on halfback Luke Brooks following last night’s 23-8 win over the Parramatta Eels at ANZ Stadium.

Scans on Brooks’ left knee have revealed a posterior cruciate ligament tear, with Club medical staff expecting the 21-year-old to miss between three and five weeks with the injury.

Brooks suffered the PCL tear before half time of last night’s match and failed to return to the field after the break.

There are no other serious injuries to report from last night’s win over Parramatta, with Wests Tigers now set to face North Queensland this Sunday at Leichhardt Oval.

Well it's a blow but one I think we can manage. Time to bring Littlejohn back into the fold IMO.

That's a real shame. He was really starting to grow in confidence. Hopefully it's a quick & full recovery for young Brooksy.

Good opp now for Moses to take the reins - something he is certainly capable of!

I'll go with the extra forward technique we used in round one.

Name LJ in the halves but shift him to hooker and allow Dene to jump into the fotwards.

That's very disappointing when he was just beginning to put things together. I would give Rankin first shot as the replacement in the halves as it's his preferred position but I'd also have Littlejohn as the back up hooker and half on the bench. The two can fight it out to see who is the best option at halfback down the stretch.

Best of luck with the recovery Brooksy.

As for the team I hope JLJ is brought in as a straight swap.

Well that's a bugger, Littlejohn to the halves would seem likely.

The other option, since they are so keen on keeping Rankin in the squad, what about shifting him to half and bringing in JAC?

Frankly i wouldnt have worried if he missed just one game, that would have been a good chance to slot JLJ in
But 3 to 5, i cant be happy about that..

Just hope its 3 and not 5 for the teams sake..
And in the meantime whoever replaces him makes the same impact if not more.

But a huge no from me moving Lovett to centers to cover Brooks in Halves

What a bummer…..Speedy recovery Brooksy

Hunt would be my pick...

I think Littlejohn has something to offer our team anyway if he's selected so not all is lost.

His kicks are fairly accurate
I think he will land them on target if given a chance in 1st grade

Yep I agree, we could really benefit from his kicking game.

Does Hunt have a kicking game? There will be a lot of pressure on Moses if he doesn't (if Farah isn't picked).

Be interesting to see who comes in and also be interesting to know what effect our lack of 2nd tier cap will have on it as I'm not sure who is and isn't in the top 25.

Hunt has been playing HB in NSW cup and LJL at 5/8 so one of those I would expect and I'm ok with either.

I'd be ok with Rankin moving in too but I'm fairly sure JAC is 2nd tier so couldn't come in for hi

Not in general play from what i have seen
He kicks goals and penalties and in general play his kicks dont threaten..
Wont be getting high percentage repeat plays off his kicking unfortunately

Damn. Speedy recovery, Luke.
Given the length of time he is likely to be out, I think his replacement needs to be a genuine half/playmaker. Otherwise, we are just left with Mitch and he will be an easy target.
I don't think a stop-gap measure (e.g. Lawrence) can work over a 3-5 week period.
