SMH stated that Luke Brooks has re-signed $550.00 for 2 years.

While i think Lukes offers may have been limited, i do believe he is of very good character and always wanted to stay. He's the type of character we need to keep.

Thats a good deal for us having a first grade halfback.
 
This is a good signing Luke has a lot to offer and I think Cleary will get the best out of him ,the kid has the goods .
 
Happy with this if true…

I'm sure there will be a few questioning Ivan's retention of Luke ...

I also think Luke has a better combination with Tedesco than what Moses has. If Moses goes i think we will see that combination flourish.
 
Happy with the terms of the contract if true. Shows that club isn't going to pay massive overs to retain him and the two year contract shows that if he doesn't kick on, we can find someone else or if he improves ten fold their could be a new contract on the way.

Also a story on that same article mentioning Whare. SG was right with his info last night. Says were looking to sign him since Cleary has signed with us. That would be great!
 
Good result for the club, though not quite so for the player. He seemed quite happy in his pre game interview on Sunday as he is a true clubman and I imagine there has been some terse communication with his manager since Friday, if not prior as well.

Well written KS. I believe he will turn out to be a very good signing for the club.
 
Always seemed like he wanted to stay, which shows commitment. In my humble opinion he's a better player than Moses and will keep improving under Cleary

Not me I think Cleary will really develop Luke into a top line half back.
 
Happy with the signing, I preferred the idea of keeping Brooks and spending the Moses money on a more experienced half. If the figures are accurate hopefully that includes a bit of TPA.

No. I believe both have not been given the quality coaching required of young halves. I have no doubt under Cleary both players will significantly improve.
 
It's good that we are keeping Luke. He will benefit from a good coach. I hope we keep teddy and woods as well.
 
Good to see that the number starts with a 5, not a 7 or 8, Brooks will kick on with a decent coach.
