I'm thinking of changing my browser from Internet Explorer to Firefox, does anyone have Firefox as their browser if so is it compatable with everything.I believe it is much faster than Internet Explorer….Comments welcome..Thanks

I'm on a mac and use firefox

but i've got it installed on another PC laptop at home and it works fine.

Firefox is pretty popular these days - every reasonable site should be optimised to work with it.

I recommend it. They're on top of security, i.e. they'll prompt you to download updates if needed, and there are a range of add-ons you can download to 'personalise' your browser. For instance, I use an ad-blocker. It blocks the majority of ads I come across, saving bandwidth and me from getting annoyed.

It is faster, and smaller, than IE.

When you look at benchmark tests the differences are in fractions of seconds. Hardly noticeable.

I use Firefox and like it. Fast, Probably the best all round browser out there.

I like Googles Chrome too. Fast, Very simple to use but doesn't have all the features I like.

and I've used Opera alittle and its good too if you like a browser you can highy customise. It also has an email client built into it.

Different browsers handle things like javascripts and so on differently, as they all use different engines… This is where IE absolutely fails, especially with the emergence of all this Web 2.0 stuff lol

Firefox 3.5, Safari 4, Chrome and Opera 10 are VERY VERY good!

I installed firefox a couple of day ago. my mate who is in IT has been trying to get me to do it for ages.. and so far so good.. seems to be quicker then IE, has all the basic features of IE plus thousands of add-ons to personalise the browser

The mac standard Safari is my browser of choice.
