Bryce Gibbs retirement

One of the real characters. It's a must for team moral to have guys like him. Also knew how to switch on game day. Real shame he didn't play out his days at the tigers

Very much under rated player, big motor, plenty of leg speed but most of all great defensive game.

He was a great defensive Prop who gave his all for us....wish him all the best for the future

Was often bagged for being ill disciplined which sometimes was justified, others not…he knew when we were on the ropes

They certainly broke the mould when they made Bryce

Very underrated player , our line speed hasn't been the same since he left and still maintain if he doesn't get injured v the Warriors we win the premiership in 2010

He was that important to the Tigers defence

Good luck to Bryce and his family , hope the club welcomes him back with open arms and remember his days fondly as a Wests Tigers player

I always admired Bryce coming through the juniors up to first grade, being part of the premiership winning team, digging in and adding grunt to the forwards, a bit of a larikan, a big loss imo when he went to sharks. Last I heard he has taken to coaching juniors in the Shire. All the best to him and his family.

Some on here were doing cartwheels when he left our Club, I was one shattered bloke as I thought at the time we just signed him for 4 years, what this bloke had for this Club was pride, passion, love and Character.
All our 2005 Premiership players are slowly hanging up the boots which gives me great sadness, need a premiership in the next couple of years. :wink:

FT I don't think people did cartwheels , but many understood his knees were shot and we wouldn't have got value from him

Gibbs heighno and Ryan May all have been good reases player wise but they all bled for the tigers and that spirit is not easily replaced

Ok maybe not cartwheels but very happy he left, in hindsight yes it was the right decision as injures proved to much for him to go on.

Always liked Gibbs. A tough player. You always knew he wouldn't let the team down. A good natured larrikin that used to drive his team mates crazy with his antics. I wish him and his family best of luck for the future.
