Bryce Gibbs

I would rather have O'Donald for a year than Gibbs. We need a tough work your backside off player and no better then Brains.
Why sign Gibbs if he cant play? He would be in the same party as Cayless and O'Hara…blokes that we signed that could not play through injury.

Lets move on and not go back to the Sheens recruitment policy of helping the old boys.

After he dumps on the club constantly, which is understandable, but to then come out and say it wasn't the clubs fault….and turn around yet again and heap s*** on us.....bugger that. He will be remembered as a whole hearted player for Wests Tigers, but I wouldn't be keen to bring him back.

Besides that as others have mentioned, he body is busted.

I can vaguely remember Gibbo wasn't happy with WT at the time but I can't really recall him hanging too much s#*t on the club TBH. What did he say? Interested to know.

If he could get on the field he would be an ok pick up for cheap but with Brown, Figatusa etc starting to show some promise then I think Gibbo would really have to be content playing NSW Cup and covering for injuries.

For club morale he would be fantastic without a doubt but you can't have a bloke taking up salary cap space just to provide a few laughs and practical jokes.

He would be good for the team on and off the field,so yes I say.

Why would he be good for the team on and off the field ?
Just asking !

He could teach the young guys how to go about doing a runner on cabbies and spitting in the face of female police officers.

If it is good enough for Tafua to do the same and still be playing why should we be any different? There are plenty of blokes in the NRL who have done worse and are still playing and even getting rewarded by getting picked for state and country.

Is it okay for Payten to teach them how to p#*s on a sacred national monument?

He didn't really heap s*** on the club, that was Fifita. Based on his twitter stuff Gibbs seems to be on good terms with the bulk of the squad.

Yep His knees are buggered

He was the heart and soul of our defence , reckon he could be a good pick up as a defensive coach in the future

That's a good idea. That way we could get him around the club in some capacity without having to hold back a promising junior to make way for him.

Gibbo and Mark O'Neill would make great defence coaches or even get an old hard nut like Stimson on the coaching staff, that bloke could hit like a tornado.

Payten was pissed and didn't know what he was doing, he didn't get it into his head that was going to go out and purposefully desecrate a war memorial

Not to mention with Payten, that was one drunk, isolated bone headed incident. Gibbs has a long track record off the field for being a knob

Gibbs as a coach and mentor to players….that'll do me

Yeah and I thought the same thing about the Johns boys and they proved me wrong

Maybe an advisor would be more the word I should of used Smeg , he was one of the best at getting our defensive line speed , and that is a huge issue we have had since heb left

Take him back only if the Sharks throw in Fifita!! Gibbs is a whole hearted player but his best is behind him given his body can no longer take the week in week out grind of the NRL.

Agree package deal or nothing. Exactly what the Sharks did to get him off our hands in the first place ( due to salary cap of course)

At the peak of his game,he was the most under rated forward in the NRL.His line speed in defense was second to none and was blessed with a big engine and good speed. Father time has marched on,and although it would be nice to give him a send off season at the Tigers,I really think we have to look at the kids we have on the books now. A player with two bung knees and on the wrong side of the hill is the last thing we need

Yes do it! Return of The Hammer, Pat Richards… I hear Hodgo has been released in England. It's the 2005 GF team reunion.

What's Shane Elford up to these days?
