Burnt out

Crouching Tiger "An excellent topic post"! You have nailed it and I couldn't agree more.
Back to the bench for Heighno particularly now we have Fulton in the side and we may see some of his 2005-2006 form.

According to NRL stats Heighno had 19 runs for 133 metres, 12 hit ups, 34 tackles, 4 missed tackles and no errors - yea he made a couple of stupid decisions that ended in penalties but all in all a pretty good nights work i would think

Sheens is burning out Heighington.
Ever since he converted him into an 80min player, he has slowly dwindled into a player with less impact as the seasons go on.
He is struggling to break the line and his footwork before the line is not working. Easily being wrestled to the ground and being put on his back by defenders to slow him down even further. His laying all over the play-the-ball is also a result from this and costing the team dearly. Once again i noticed he was slow to get back into the defensive line on several occasions.
Through no fault of his own and much to Heighno's credit, he has powered on like a true soldier and done everything to coach has requested of him.
I believe if Sheens keeps doing this, the injuries will just keep coming.
A fresh Heighno is 100 times more effective.

He made his career as an impact player off the bench and really only started playing 80 minutes because he was in form and players around him weren't as good an option. I think now he should get a break in the middle period of the game where a hard-runner like Mataka or Dwyer can come on and have an impact.

Well as Heighno has progressed through his career, he has become more dependable as a team player without a doubt, his impact is still there as such as he draws in 2-3 with every time he hits the line. His work rate is unquestionable. His work ethic and willingness to put his body on the line is undoubtedly one of the strongest in the club.
It just concerns me that last year he was plagued by injury, but like the champion that he is, he continued to play out the season and it took a toll on his form.
Monday night saw him once again do the same. Smashed himself apart and continue to play. It's round one…and if this continues to go on, i can't see him lasting for half the season.
And what i'm saying is, with the lethargy the injuries will come with it. It ain't rocket science to think that if someone was tired, and needed a rest, and had to run at a defensive line when oppositions are fresh who will likely come off worse.

He doesn't need to start on the interchange. Just give him a bit more of a rest during the game. Maybe if we had another forward on the interchange instead of Fitzy we would have been able to.

Rhino played 66 mins last night.

You cant expect facts to get in the way of a good old Sheens bash now.

It took a while but someone finally got it.

Peeps are whining about him playing 80 mins.

It just didnt happen.

But let the whine fest continue even if it is based on absolute rubbish.

Stats I saw suggested he ran for 130+ metres and made 34 tackles. I think some of you expect too much out of these guys. For 66 minutes they seem like excellent numbers.

Edit: Sorry died pretty - just saw you posted the same info!
