Cameron Smith...

How is what happened yesterday any different from an 'unintentional' reckless swinging arm that collects a player too high?
Seeing yesterdays performance, and thinking back to the many similar previous performances I reckon some responsibility has to go to the refs over the years who have effectively trained players to behave that way, tacitly approving the behaviour by not cracking down on it.
It will be interesting to see how NRL handles this.

I watched the Storm v Souths game last night and Issac Luke was slowing down the play the ball as he always does, laying all over tackled players, and Cronk kicked out a couple of times and connected Luke's head and face…The commentators said that it will go to the match review committee,I say stiff s..t to Luke,if he wants to be a grub, then suffer the consequences...he had plenty of time to move but chose to hang around to slow the play down Cronk wanted the quick play the ball..

What do you guys reckon...live by the sword, die by the sword I say.....

This is Cameron Smith we are talking about.

He wouldn't do anything like that - he is not the type.
I think his response was something like…

"the guy kept throwing himself at my foot, I don't know what his problem was" - "That sort of thing should be stamped out of the game (pardon the pun), I'll leave it to the judiciary to decide if he should be charged with attacking the foot of a player mate!"

First class grub - have and always will be ashamed that he is captain of Australia.

It was Smith TT and we already have a 2 page thread somewhere with Geo making ludicrous comments as the newest member of the Daily Telegraph journalistic team

this year there is a lot of guys kicking out in tackles it is only a matter of time before someone gets some eye damage from this .its the hold down to long in the tackle the refs can fix it at the start of the season every one off at the same time or they got a penalty against them that last 2 weeks now it wrestle mad again. souths Melbourne Canberra east are the worst in my opinion . what I would like to know what constitute a flop :brick:

Dirty, cheating, QLD grub. But best hooker I have ever seen play the game by a mile.

The game is tough enough without that crap. Slater got 6, he should get a minimum of 8 seeing we are in state of origin period.

He is not protected. Missed a grand final remember.

Look FTB all of you redneck NSW mates have shown up

Proves my point , NSW will lose this series and everyone knows it

Another issue that is being proven , many that watch this game have absolutely no idea of what is going through a footballers mind or goes on during a game

People actually think that Smith would risk missing an entire SOO series by kicking a player when his side is leading a football game and he has the football

Is there a WT's convention at Nimbin ??

Intention is now the defence….Riiiiiiiiiiight....

I highly doubt ANY player goes out to intentionally put players in dangerous positions or cop someone high in a tackle or knee someone in the head while running the football....

Happy has now done away with the judiciary folks....'Sir I didn't mean to do it'...'Ok son free to play'....

Intention is sticking your hands between a players legs Geo , intention is lifting your knee to the contact , not trying to get up quickly (which is the attacking players right ) to play the ball

If the refs had blown a penalty , problem would of been solved immediately

Luke was deliberately trying to slow down the play and was lucky no to be sin binned for it.

I think there is nothing in it, as Smith has every right to attempt to find his feet to play the ball…

But if it is being reviewed, I'd suggest they will charge him and he would have to miss a week or two.

The NSWRL Powerbase will see to it he is charged!

You are proving the point..players hands go between the legs 100 times a game it's only when they it goes wrong they are in strife…..That's why we have Reckless and Careless in the charge .....I don't think Cammy's intention to kick Luke 6 times....there is a thing such as Dangerous Contact though....

Are people forgetting the ''victim'' here? Isaac Luke once admitted to trying to break his own cousin's leg. Good on Cam, should have kicked him harder.
