Cammy - It's not fair

Cronulla got off very light compared to us, their’s was systematic cheating.
 
Neither consistent or fair as Todd suggested. The NRL is a joke under Beattie and Greenbergs leadership.
 
There is one major difference here - The Sharks we're discovered as a consequence of self-reporting, the Storm we're not.

If we want to encourage clubs to be honest, there has to be leniency involved when they are.

From what I understand, even though they we're cheating, it was not in excess of the cap. So rightly or wrongly, they were given a break based on self-reporting. I'd say if they we're found to be over the cap, they wouldn't have been afforded the leniency.

I still think that in comparison to us though, either we should have been reduced, or theirs increased. What they were doing was far worse than our admin error.
 
Todd does not want "consistency" he wants what he calls "fairness",mind you his "fairness" consists of punishing some clubs severely and virtually ignoring other clubs and giving them a light penalty.
Todd is a dictator in every respect and just does whatever he likes when he feels like it.We should have rejected our punishment and taken the NRL to court pity we only had 1 person(Chair) with any backbone on the board with the rest made up of jellyfish and backstabbers.
Yes i am still annoyed by the self interest of our clubs so called directors
 
The issue is not the storm. They cheated and were dealt with fairly IMHO.
The issue is the wet noodle the Sharks have been whipped with numerous times.
Kent was right, they didn’t just cheat for two years before and two years after their title win - that stinks to high heaven and Greenberg etc have got that one massively wrong.
 
Happy for someone to confirm or deny, but I read somewhere that yes Sharks self-reported which led to all this trouble, but the amount they self reported was only for about $100k.

And that sounds about right for the sharks' form.

i cant see how ots possible to get caught two years before and then two years after you won a comp and expect everyone to believe the year in between when you won you were legitimate. At the very least the cheating help assemble the roster that won the comp that would'nt have been assembled without the cheating.
 
Oh they can see it, how could they not. They just don't care. It's just easier for them politically to not upset the Sharks and take the premiership off them.

If Roosters were caught now, if some employee came and spilled all the beans and could prove how Roosters have been cheating for a decade, they'd likely be punished 'severely' with a penalty akin to what we got.
 
the nerve of Cammy to suggest that they should be given their premierships back. What he should be saying is the Sharks should loose their premiership. No way they were compliant the year they won and not the two years prior and post.

Barry Russell who was the new CEO at the sharks at the time self reported when he found an anomaly in Heighnos contract, He thought that was the only problem. From there the IU investigated seizing phones laptops etc - outcome was Flanagan got booted and systematic rorting uncovered, Barry Russell received death threats from those lovely fans of the sharks and was ostracised by the board. He resigned a couple of times but came back but has only just recently pulled the plug again. A wonderful club and a great endorsement of NRL.

Okay, well that paints a better picture of Russell. Not of the sharks club though.

Assuming the Board appointed Russell, why would they appoint an honest CEO considering they are as dodgy af?
 
Sharks set up a third party company to make payments outside the cap… 2016 premiership 100% should be removed. Todd is out of his depth.

Just get rid of them. The add nothing to the comp.
