Does anyone know about the investigation that was supposed to take place a couple of months ago about them being over the cap? That houses where being bought for the players they signed as part of there Contracts?
I mean seriously look at there Roster
1.Ben Barba signed for at least $600,000 i reckon?
2.Hodges at least $500,000
3\. Jack Reed at least $400,000
4\. Josh Hoffman at least $350,000
5.Ben Hunt i would say $450,000
6\. Josh McGuire i reckon $350,000
7\. Andrew McCullough around the $350,000 mark or even more
8.Corey Parker i reckon at least $500,000
9\. Sam Thaiday $600,000 (when you consider Adam Blair is on $500,000)
10\. Ben Hannat i reckon $400,000
11\. Alex Glenn i reckon $350,000
12\. David Stagg would of been signed at the time from the Bulldogs for at least $350,000
13\. Todd Lowrie $300,000

and they have signed Anthony Milford for next season that if the Raiders were throwing $1 million a year for him , i'm sure the Broncos would be paying at leat $750,000 per year
and they have signed a storm prop Garbutt who is the best up and coming prop coming through , these guys are kidding themselves they have Parker , Hodges and Thaiday who are current Origin players and internationals , Ben Hunt made the Origin Squad as well , Ben Barba is down on form but will be there in the coming years , Jack Reed is an international .
They are way under performing for this squad you know where Wayne Bennett is going next year.
Those figures are just what i reckon they would be on , some would be on more than what i put

Stagg wouldn't be on that much neither would Hunt, I remember reading an article where his dad was saying they need to offer him big $$ as Hunt showed loyalty by signing a low dollar contract last time.

In the past the supporters/sponsors club(i forget their name,Mustangs?) arranged discreet 3rd party payments for the elite players but the Storm debacle meant they backed off and everything is supposed to be legit now but who knows. Also Karmichaell Hunt may be back next season so the salary cap is going to need some juggling as will the Ego's of the 3(4 with Hunt) specialist full backs.

Except for, like, players 2-7 are on literally half as much as you seem to have dreamed up! The only ones on close to the money you're talking about are Barba, Thaiday and Parker. The rest you have no clue.

Hunt has been a complete nobody all his career up until this season yet you think he was on $450k?! I'd laugh if he was on more than 150-200k!

Reed on 400k? You can't be serious! Again, 150-200k.

Hodges reportedly resigned for around 330k.

I take it you're a kid who doesn't really understand the economics of footy, but thats ok, we've all been there at one point…

Regardless of the Thorougbreds or not, Brisbane like Storm, Bulldogs, Roosters etc do have a host of 3rd party sponsors. These sponsorships don't count toward their salary cap. Most of the other clubs, like ours, are always disadvantaged.

There is always one lol, sorry I should of asked you what the figures might be, I didn't claim to know the figures but then again not everyone knows how to read and understand

The NRL salary cap monitors have been investigating Brisbane heavily this year. It was mentioned by Ben Ikin that Bennett might have ruled out the Broncos as a possible club to coach because he has the inside word that they will be penalised. This could either mean they'll be docked points late this year or next year…and that club may lose quality players.

I bet the players wish you were writing their contracts. I can guarantee they earn nothing like those sort of amounts.
That said the thoroughbreds seem to directly contravene the salary cap third party rules.
Not sure how they get around those rules.

Well it seems i'm way of the mark with my figures , i never claimed to know such figures , was just basically estimating .
Well if my figures are way off well i am going to say we have payed massive overs then for Tedesco on $500,000 a year 😱pen_mouth:

Easiest way of putting it

One largish rugby league mad city and only one club

They would have TPA's coming out of their TPA's to put it mildly

Broncos also have an advantage of location, they don't need to pay quite the same premium if the player wants to live in Brisbane.

You are 100% spot on. Salary caps mean nothing nowadays with all the third party agreements.
