Lets not focus on the finals. It’s great we have won 2 but lets not get ahead of ourselves. Lets enjoy the moment and week to week stuff. If we play like we have last 2 weeks anything is possible.

I'm not under any illusion, my main hope at the start of the season was to finish in front of the Dogs.
We are currently on the right trajectory and anything better than that is a bonus.

The good thing is that we're learning how to win. Last week against Parra we fell over the line, got lucky the Eels didn't finish us off when we gave them too many chances. This week I felt we matched Souths in the final passages and were more organised in taking our chances. We've clearly struggled to win games, it's good at least for the team to go up against good teams and find a way to win.
But talking about the finals with a losing record is something we've gotten used to doing. Unfortunately it usually ends in disappointment. The Tigers have always been able to put together a few patches of form, it's stating the obvious, but they need to learn to maintain that if they're going to do anything.
I don't even know if we should be favourites to beat the dragons next week, let alone think about making the 8. But at least a few wins allows us to think about it.

This thread reminds me of Ben Galea in 05 when around half way through the regular season he got up at training and went through the process of games to win for and against etc etc to make the 8 and Roycie remarked something like oh no here we go again.
Remember too we nearly beat the Storm and probably should have.
Reckon Stef, AD and Roberts are itching to get back lest they miss out. Some decent guns there.
Try telling this bunch they can't do stuff now. On a natural high.

Finals or die trying really that’s how it should play out. I’d be happy with our sides progress if we win the winnable games. last year was a very lob sided comp outside the top 6 and we had the opportunity to close out 3 more games last year and didn’t. Souths, Warriors and Titans and we would of made the 8.
If we don’t blow those opportunities this year (anymore) we are a chance. Sadly I feel the Titans and Warriors games might be the clincher.

Honestly thought Bulldogs and Cowboys would be fighting over the spoon. Way off on the Cowboys, the young players are really helping that side
Bulldogs though are no different. They have no hooker. Or halfback as well as a defensively prone full back. Mahoney will help next year but still think they will be bottom 8 next year as well.
We will be above Bulldogs and Dragons at least.

I think the signing of chad townsand at cowboys has been really undervalued he’s been great for them most games

I think we need to win the next two or three games to be a chance of making the 8. I know it’s still relatively early in the season but if we can put together a win streak we’ll be well placed.
After two wins we’ve shot up to 13th and maybe even 12th if Dragons lose by a decent margin today.
My main concern at this stage is the injury crisis so I’m hoping the team can win a few games before we get some players back.

I think you’ll be right and seriously hoping both the Roosters and Storm put cricket scores on.
Being optimistic but we beat dragons twice last year Breaking news Bird out
