yeh but humans are humans. Its not about the ESL but to tap into their potential. He is proven in this aspect. Why should the NRL be diffferent. Look at Soufs.

Yeah look at their playing roster AHX Great forward pack ,found a half back ,Greg Inglis MAguire had it easy

The style is very different , you could play the Wests Tigers way and still do very well in the ESL

Unfortunately we lack the style with our players to be effective in the NRL and with the lack of NRL experience to fall back on , if things go pear shaped wonder how he will cope

His assistants don't excite me as having a good sounding board for different ideas if we need to change either

Sheens had experience and where did it get us.

so i suppose Happy that Bennett had problems too?

Sheens had problems , he isn't a good comparison

I'll agree with Happy here.
Last year our attitude was lacking - along with the mongrel in the forwards.
Our roster is not that greatly different to the team that started favourites last year.
Here's hoping Potter really is the coach we're hoping he is.

It seems that Potter has introduced competitiveness at training. Hopefully that equates to a competitive attitude during games. Hopefully we can remove the complacency with players fighting to keep their spot (although I do accept that this can lead to nerves and poor performance).

2012 was a black year, right from round one with a very lucky win over the sharks but their were some really good patches mixed up in a lot of rubbish and that is what gives me hope in 2013\. Along with the arrival of some good players and a new coach,I think their is a real chance this year could be the launching pad of a few good years to come in the near future

Potter has a huge job
Defence , mental toughness ,attitude, confidence and Benji Marshall

Lot to turn around in one off season

Probably understandable why a lot of people aren't picking us to make the 8

Maybe Benji and the plasyers want to change, they just need the right environment to achieve it.

I expect Potter to be a disciplinarian and I expect big things. Top 8 this year, top 4 following year. And I also thinks he needs at least 4 years to show what he can do.

They appointed him as he was the best candidate so lets give him the time and resources to make us successful. The NRL needs Wests Tigers to be successful. Like Braith Anasta said - we have supporters everywhere you go.

Winning a premiership this season well odds say not…but a launching pad for the next few seasons is definatly on .Make no mistake if attitudes havn't changed there will be a few looking for a new club and the right attitude will be brought in and I will support this move 100%.I'm not expecting miracles but see no reason the Tigers can't be competitive....Coach Potter needs time to turn the place around and he should be given that time.

Most journos had Sheens as a supercoach who could do no wrong, until we punted him that is….now it IS all the rehashed quotes form this very forum for the last four or five years

For the Tigers , everything will have to go right , especially injuries to make the Top 8 .

One thing that Scott Woodward got right

You expect top 8 this year, and also say 'lets give him time'….hope you give him time if your expectaion isnt met

I agree we need to give him time, persoanlly my expectations arent as high, if theyre achieved its a bonus....but imo Potters starting his NRL career behind the 8 ball a bit

If he meets your expectatins in two years (Top 8 this year, top 4 following year )....I dunno why he'd need four years to "show what he can do." 😕
