Can we do anything to help?!

I'm wondering if we can help the team by staying away from discussing rumors that the media can latch on to? It could possibly destabilize the team further.

I know all these player signings are interesting but maybe we are hurting our own team by discussing every tid-bit that is flying around.

Should we suck it up, stop these rumors and see if we can at least help reduce the media articles to only when they happen.

Now is the time we need to support the team, not make it worse.
 
I thought the same thing. We're pretty [edited by mods] fans I reckon. Have mad sooks when they lose, constant calls for players to be dropped, coaches to be axed, untested rookies to have a run. They probably read the forum and wonder why they bother sometimes hahaha.
 
Trust me…..theres some that are holding back on "rumours" so the club doesnt cop more of a bashing....even tho they deserve it
 
don't lose faith in the team.
yes the results are disappointing at the moment.
something does appear to be causing trouble in tigertown.

all we can do is support them.
we have no control over what goes on in the media.

c'mon wests-tigers believe in yourselves.
 
Support tbe team and be loud and proud not matter what the score line.

You see tigers jumpers everywhere when we are winning but barely any when we are losing however you always see dogs jerseys no matter what
 
I remember when Fittler and Gould mentioned something on the Roast about why our players weren't doing great, about 10 weeks ago and nothing was mentioned after that. Nothing obvious has come out since then aside from the hosed down wife cheating rumour. What are the choices?

Salary cap? Sheens has a terminal illness and the brass are keeping it a secret? Benji has boofed everyones mums?

I'm betting cold hard that we're waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over the cap.
 
The team shouldn't let rumors get to them. We have had a lot of crap to deal with this season though:

- Marshall assault allegations
- Marshall/Fulton situation
- Injuries to key players
- Players being shown the door
- Sheens choosing between Tigers/Panthers
 
A good question, I recon about all we can do is just support the boys through this turbulent time, as painful as it might be, and hope there is light at the end of the tunnel. What else can we do?
 
To have a vote to never wear white Jersey's…... Is it just be but we can't win in these jerseys!

There is this false assumption that all these rumours start here on this site.
As much as I'd love this site to be the be-all and end-all of all things "Wests Tigers", you are giving it much more gravitas than it's worth.

Word that Moltzen had or was about to sign with the Dragons had been flying around for a day or two before today in media circles and other players. Don't think they start here because they don't.
 
The only way we can help is to bombard the club with phone calls and Emails to sack the coach. We wont make the semis with him there. He is a goose of the highest order. The players do no want him anymore.

I agree with you Bug - have all along, but do you have any real evidence that the players don't want him around anymore, other than the fact they're playing like crap?

I don't think I've ever seen an article with a rumor before it was on the forum. Is it giving the media the substance it needs to publish a rumor? Even though the forum might not be the ones who initiated it?
 
We can't but management can by telling the fans what is going on. Otherwise we the fans a just going to make stuff up to fit the circumstances.

Unfortunately you or i will not be able to stop narrow minded fools ranting about rubbish they know nothing about.

Like you i wish i could prevent any more damage to our club but this is the nature of the beast.

Be positive and support though thick and thin,this is how we will over come the negative element with in our club.
