We've only ever won once in Melb

….................. about time we win again.

Was that when Benji got injured and Rowdy played 5/8 and killed it?

I think that was another game at Leichhardt. Laurie picked up a loose ball and went through half their team from a standing start.

The one where we won at Melby, Benji played the whole game. The "greasy pig" Utai scored a try by literally just ducking his head under a tackle.

The game you blokes are talking about was in Gosford , Hodgson was missing

The Melbourne game that kills me and cost us top 8 was either when Ellis passed to Laurie or vice versa with no one in front of them and they dropped it cold and they would of scored under the black dot

I remember a game when

i rkn we can go back to back….particularly if we offload alot....esan offloading to marshall in tired storm forwards could lead to points!

Yea, I wouldn't put money on us but we could win it.

I noticed that we have a good record against the Storm, to win we need to defend and Robbie Farah seemed to be good at getting in their face. Not sure how Godinet would go against Smith who is such a benchmark, Smith won't be run down.
I can see our forwards just keeping up to the Storm's pace… but just. Switching hooker is tough and We should use Taylor not Mcillwrick as the reserve against Smith.

We need 80 minutes of Solid Defense, A matchup of MWZ vs Josh Addo Carr will be interesting but I don't see MWZ and Kevie defending against them on that wing. Marsters and Thompson, yes... Kevie and MWZ, No.

Not expecting a win, but happy for an upset. If we loose by less then 16 points and play for the 80 I will be happy.

If MWZ matches up with Addo-Carr we doing it wrong..they play on opposite sides of the field…

It's Ok tho MWZ and Kev will have their hands full with Vunivalu..

Wests Tigers by 8...

I want to see the storm play well, to assess if we can hold them to 2 tries or less, I'd love to see that pack mentality in defence again, especially in the forwards.

Having said that, I want us to score 19 tries, but think another low scoring tight game is our best shot.

I hope we are competitive but I expect the Storm to win comfortably. Their wingers will run around ours for sure.

Why settle for only nineteen

Let's not be too greedy mate! :sign:

The lack of speed factor may come into play today - although there is no denying that even at our worst we mostly perform well against Melbourne. I will be just as stunned this week as last, if we manage to knock them off.

If we show the same grit and determination the score doesnt matter to me to be honest. I am hopeful however.

This…
But if the score blows out there wouldn’t be much grit and determination so the score matters to me.

My answer is no. We caught the Rorters by surprise last week and, clearly, they had an off night. This week Melbourne will be at home and they will be ready for us. Other than somehow getting into a tight, forward oriented arm wrestle, where a few lucky bounces go our way, I just can't see us beating them.

The Roosters were the favourites to win the premiership this year and we beat them when many thought we couldn't and Wouldn't
So realistically we can beat anyone
This place is going to go off if we have another win this weekend
😛ray:

What can I say
Are we all going off
I am
:deadhorse: woodsy wake up
Did you see the win

Going back to back is done.
Losses none.
Next step is the top 8.
But I'm sure finals will eventually be our fate.
Tigers are smashing it.

well i backed the tigers in a 3up multi, took tigers into Ireland to beat England in the union, into Leicester to beat Chelsea. got 65-1 had $20 on it. so one up two to go.

We go ok against the Storm, not sure about at home though.
We'll need to score more than 10 points though and that's what bothers me.

I'll be happy to see us get in their faces and really hustle them in defense and not let up and see what that results in.

Well let me respond to myself.

-Yes you were right, we do go OK against the Storm
- You were kind of right that we need to score more points but 10 was enough, again.
It still bothers me though.
- Well we certainly hussled and didn't let up for 80mins and the result was good.

Well done me.
