Can you go to a game alone if you are under 18?

Cumberland Oval hey, the thread really has taken a trip down memory lane. Going to a match with another pre-teen mate to watch a contest between gladiators. At times hitch-hiking to save the bus fare so we could buy a steaming hotdog..

Totally different game back then, players of many shapes and sizes and more skillful forwards even though they plenty were missing a few teeth.

Ahh … times have sure changed!
I remember when my mate and I first went to the footy unaccompanied by adults... as 10 year olds.
We used to go to every ground in Sydney and I still don't know how we found our way to any of them except Lidcombe Oval because it was only a few stops away on the train.
Being all decked out in Tigers gear if we got lost we would ask directions from someone else who looked like they were going to the footy.
Once at a Parra game at Cumberland Oval we were waiting for autographs wearing all our gear (with our Balmain duffle bags hoisted over our shoulders) and an official thought we were attached to the team and ushered us into the dressing room with the players as they ran in.
Thanks for bringing back some memories Tigersman.

Lidcombe ?? don't you mean Pratten Park CK

Were Glebe a strong side back in your day ??

Very funny, happy, but you are pretty close to the mark!
The Maggies were actually still at Pratten Park the first year I started going to the footy by myself but didn't make it to every ground that year.

At the home games here in Newcastle…
There is always crews of kids walking around.

Teenie bopper girls with them.
