Good on Souths. They've gone from perennial wooden spooners to competition leaders. They've done a lot of what we and other clubs couldn't:

- Fix corporate structure and privatise, thus giving a strong financial foundation
- Signed several marquee, rep quality players in GI, Burgess's, Teo etc
- Set up a first rate training facility at Redfern
- Took a punt on a rookie coach (glad we finally did it…)
- Got rid of the deadwood like Chris Sandow and took a punt on juniors (thank you Potter for giving our guys a go)
- They've now got Crown Casino as their major sponsor for the next 3 years. That's a pretty solid sponsorship when you consider the Sharks and Raiders started the year (this year I think) with blank jerseys

I actually enjoy watching the Rabbits play. GI is a freak. Reynolds is a gun. And the Burgess boys are machines.

Looking forward to seeing us play the way they are.

Couldn't have said it any better and throw in Russell Crowe, he is great advertisement for the game (worldwide) so they are the complete package atm.

Exactly Rusty is the key there.

I actually like souths succeeding. Any adult fan has stuck solid under pretty tough circumstances, they deserve a bit of success.
The doggies annoy me as they have some grubs, and the current Newcastle team are tough to like.
Melbourne are now probably my least favorite (except Cronk who is my favorite non tiger) they are whinging and arrogant

And Rusty is the key as to why we missed out on Burgess. We had him over the line till that knob came in and swooped. I won't go into detail why i hate them, 1 or 2 posts in this thread already summed up my opinion.

If I was to list them from most hated to least, it would probably go:

1\. Souths
2\. Brisbane
3\. Manly
4\. Bulldogs
5\. Dragons
6\. Roosters
7\. Parra
8\. Panthers
9\. Cowboys
10\. Titans
11\. Sharks
12\. Storm
13\. Raiders
14\. Knights
15\. Warriors

I like Souths and will be going for them in the finals this year, in the event that we won't be there, of course. I admire how they have worked to get back into the comp after being thrown out and how they've built themselves up to the team/club we see today. I only wish the Magpies had the spirit, fan base and resources to do the same.

Back in 1999 you can bless Balmain at least making the wests survive until now, tigers or Balmain have always had a large fan base!

Dogs worst club, supporters and p.ennis

The Dogs have been high on my list since I saw poor Sirro's purple/black bruised body the day after they played. Discs on shoulder pads were apparently to blame.

Despised them totally since an ANZAC day match at Leichhardt, when they would not shut up and kept waving their flags (flags with a tree on them, not even blue and white) during what was supposed to be a minute's silence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+1\. Enough. I was a supporter of one of those teams for thirty years, doesn't matter which, as that was last century. Time to grow up, or pee off and only watch the junior teams while drowning your sorrows with KB parading around in a pair of STUBBIES!
