Even if we get the spoon I'll probably renew my membership, not just this year, but any year,

Why? Not because I accept mediocrity, or am a better supporter, but because I never had a choice in who I support. I was born a tiger, will die a tiger! This is my club, was mine as Balmain, is mine as Wests, and will remain so!

I understand everyone jumping up and down and being upset - but put it into perspective, at some time we will win the comp again, at some time we will get our first spoon. When those things occur isn't that important because at some point they WILL happen, its showing up every week and cheering no matter what that I signed up for. When Sheens is gone, Benji, Farah etc… the club will remain and we will face a new set of opportunities and challenges. We are living through only one little piece of history, not eternity. So relax all, and enjoy the ride this year and into the future!

My personal opinion. I don't think this is our year (just so people don't tell me head's in the sand). And while hat upsets me a bit because of the quality of our squad, when you look at the big picture there are worse things happening in the world every second of every day. I do have a feeling we will come good, and reserve the right to backtrack on my current opinion :laughing:

Just a quick note to black and gold. You pass judgement on people like me that you don't even know. It's know wonder you've given up after 5 rounds. Keep your chin up mate and don't give up them…...they'll be back!

A lot of people on this forum are diehards from the old days. Some are from the new days. Me…...i'm from the old days. Times that whether you supported Balmain or Wests it didn't matter, both clubs were made from the same cloth. They turned up, played their hearts out and we turned up and barraked our hearts out. We mightn't have had the flashiest players, but they gave everything they had and then some.

Fast forward to Wests Tigers and apart from a couple of scratchy years where some individuals made some poor choices, the club is essentially the same. We definately have players with more ability and we expect better results, and when that doesn't occurr most of us get the shits and vent a little. There's still the old fossils in here from the early days of Wests Tigers that used to congregate on other sites (before this one) and they still today vent and make constructive criticism of the side. Theres nothing wrong with that, but there is something wrong with some people on this site. People that want to dump the team after a poor start to the season,calling the team soft, personal attacks on players etc, and it's wrong because it's not the Wests Tigers way, and it sure as hell wasn't the Wests or Balmain way!

Just be thankful epic, that some of the pea hearts on here, aren't the ones we are relying on to get our season back on track. It reminds me of the semi final 2010 after we lost to the Roosters. Nobody thought we would beat the Raiders in Canberra......the rest is history.

Epic and Furious - well said

There is a big difference between True Supporters and True Believers. Most on here are true supporters who go to the games, buy the merchandise etc. However not all True Supporters are True Believers and will toss in the towel when we are in a rough patch. The last two years prove the point yet we came with a game or two of winning the comp !
Just take the Nay-Sayers with a grain of salt and remind them of their short comings when we are there again in September !
