Can't believe how negative we are!

Recently downloaded this app and have been reading the threads/posts just about every day. I was originally a magpie turned wests tigers and only for the past 6 or 7 years have we had anything to cheer for. I cheered the frustrating hapless magpies for over 20 years right up until their very last game. I've never been more passionate about rugby league thanks to my team the wests tigers. Doesn't matter how frustrating they can be or how they break your heart you still have to get out there and support them. Whilst I share the same views as many of you I also disagree with all the negative comments about Benji and in particular Tim sheens. When the players put in and get the results he's the best coach in the world but when they don't he's gotta go according to many. It's the old cliche that all coaches have to put up with. As for benji yes he could have done a couple things different and yes he still does a couple of silly things but for crying out loud without him where would we be! He's exhilarating, has an amazing read on the game and still is one of the best in the world and yes sheensy does have something to do with that too!

I was seething after the Souths game on Sunday but still the positives outweigh the negatives!

They haven't fired on all cylinders yet like we all know they can but put your money on it they will and still give this competition an enormous shake and I personally can't wait!

Yes I think they can as well. but you cant begrudge peoples feelings thus far.

We were premiership favourites and after 5 rounds you would have to rate our season no higher than a 4 out of 10 so far. Thats probably being generous.

People had high expectations and so far are watching their team play worse football then last year. Thats where the anger is coming from.

Nothing annoys me more than when we improve 120% on the week before and unluckily lose by a point or two, and people call to sack Sheens. He's not going to win us every game, so stop calling for him to be axed

Wow! I dont know how people like you can accept medicrity. You're a yes man and will accept anything the club does, says or performs simply because you dont know any better.

People like you will tell people like me that we're not true supporters. The fact is, WE'RE the true supporters because we wear our hearts on our sleaves and DO get emotional in the good times and bad. Just like a business, not too many questions get asked during the good times but in the bad times, we DEMAND better. Questions are asked and we expect better. Simple as that!

Bit harsh Black & Gold.
Dont put words into his mouth, he NEVER said youre not a true supporter
You cannot DEMAND anything when humans are involved, you can state your opinion
He has been around for over 30 years.
Have you?

Welcome epic!
Ignore this bloke.

I could not agree more, this forum has become far too negative. Even when we show signs of life on Sunday, benji still gets it from people, replace him with any other player and we would be much worse off.

Mate, I can see where you're coming from, and you are entitled to your opinion, but so is epic tiger. Nobody's pointing fingers and telling any that they're not true supporters, he's just trying to encourage some positivity and shed light in the good things that happened, because, let's face it, plenty of light has been shed on the bad

Nice post epic, tend to agree in some way but you'll find many on here are just as passionate as yourself and much of the really negative feedback comes from a select few.

Come September I'm sure we will be there, anythings possible after that.

Not negative I think more disappointed and frustrated and it's only when we are losing .

Good on you epic, I'm with you.

Everyone has an opinion though, and expect to cop a firefight if you disagree with just a few on here. But, they are also entitled to their opinion too I guess.

Welcome.

Spot on Epic it's easy to criticize and everyone is entitled to their opinion. We all know that the team is performing below its capabilities and the players and coach must accept responsibility. We have have some really good things out of this year do far such as the performance of Ryan Woods and Humble so let's give credit where it is due also .
And for those who say we need change how about backing it up with realistic options,
Go the TIGES!!!!

I can understand people's frustrations and disappointments, but for crying out loud - its only a game! No one is going to be put against a wall and shot because the wests tigers don't make the top 4 or top 8 or even God forbid collect the wooden spoon!
And please don't tell me I'm happy to accept mediocrity or I lack passion. I have been a Tigers supporter since 1967 and have seen us get flogged 62-5 to Wests in 1973, watched Olaf Prattle, Spook Spencer, Barry McTaggart et al get flogged at Leichhardt Oval over and over again. But it's a game! Disappointment is understandable, but I think a lot of you guys need to change your perspective. The sun will rise tomorrow and most of us have our good health. Let's keep it real.

The season is by no means over at round 5 like a lot of people on here have been suggesting. Form can come and go quite quickly. I'm fine with criticism of the sides performances, theres no sugar coating it, its been a horrible start to the year. Having said that I'm hoping the boys can string a few wins together and serve up some humble pie.
In the words of the great Rocky Balboa "Aint nothin' over til its over!"

Great thread Epic.

I have never called for Sheens head but I have been quite negative about Marshall for the past couple of seasons. I think I get so critical of him because he is so adored by the media and especially Gould. I shouldn't really take this out on Marshall but I do. This is through sheer frustration as he is very inconsistant.

This forum is for fans to vent and if there was a 24 hr ban on everybody (including me) of this forum after a match you wouldn't see half of the really negative posts on here.

I may be wrong but the members that vent the most on this forum are the ones that would celebrate the most after a GF win. I'm talking a 24 hr drinking binge back at the Leagues club (Wests Ashfield) 2005 style.

It's just passion with a little bit of immaturity thrown in.

Once we win a few on the trot that will change everyone will be saying good things

Thanks all for the great welcome encouragement. I do understand their frustration and passion as I feel it too.

I have faith we'll be back and firing all cylinders!
