Western Suburbs Magpies Canterbury Cup Coach Brett Hodgson has named his side to take on the St. George-Illawarra Dragons for their Round 18 clash this Sunday at Leichhardt Oval.

Hodgson has named a strong side for Sunday's game, boosted by the inclusion of NRL squad members Robert Jennings, Russell Packer, Dylan Smith, Sam McIntyre and Robbie Rochow. Development Players Zac Cini, Kane Bradley and Jock Madden have also been named by Hodgson for the Magpies' crucial clash.

6. Max Burey
7. Jock Madden
8. Russell Packer

11. Sam McIntyre
12. Robbie Rochow
13. Jack Miller

Interchange:

19. Ray Jankovic
20. Dylan Clifford

Looks like talau is going to make his NRL debut unless he is injured. Excited to see how Cini goes aswell.

If that’s the case, I think we will line up like this:
1. Mbye
2. Thompson
3. Talau
4. Marsters
5. Nofoaluma

@balmain-boy thing is if either Talau or momirovski dont play first grade, one of them will come down to CC. So we might not be able to see Cini in action.

Excuse my ignorance but is Reynolds injured ?

Yes, groin strain.

Hard to see this team beating the Dragons, they'll need to improve 100% to have any hope.

i dont think so. wests tigers play saturday night in canberra. i'd say both Momo and Talau will go to Canberra and only 1 will play. Id say the 2 who are 18th and 19th wont play nsw cup but 20 and 21 will likely forwards

Haemorrhoids and Ebola.

@balmain-boy Great to see the young guys get a go including Cini who has been somewhat of a tryscoring machine in Flegg & deserves his chance.

Also, excited for Talau. Has the knack of setting up his outside backs up nicely as we saw in the first 2 games in JF and give them some space. Hopefully he can do this when he gets his chance. Showed his strength then and also on last Sunday.

If he does make his debut, good luck to the kid.

@balmain-boy Whilst it's great to see those guys go up, it does weaken our Jersey Flegg who need a win on Saturday to stay in contention. I suppose other clubs have the same issue so we'll just have to suck it up.

@Thaiger We have a number of good prospects in the Balmain SG ball squad and for the life of me I can't understand why none of them have been promoted yet. Now is the time!

Yeh, I agree @balmain-boy now is the time, but I reckon it will probably take another 48 hours, cheers :relaxed:
