Former Kiwi international Krisnan Inu has been released by NRL club Canterbury to sign with French rugby union.

Paris-based Top 14 club Stade Francis on Thursday announced the 27-year-old had been signed as an injury replacement.

Inu, who has previously had stints with Parramatta and the Warriors, has been inconsistent this season and has played just seven NRL games.
Despite having signed with the Bulldogs until next year, he has been granted a release by the club.

Pity, I had hoped that WT would've gone after him. He still has a lot to offer, imo.

I would have liked to see him play for us too
He has a lot of experience and a good composure.
Kicking is always an added bonus..

To say he has been inconsistent this year is a bit harsh if you dont give him starts
Good player sits on the sideline and loses form..

Tbh, I'm glad he isn't signing with us.
Id rather see Fine or Taukafa and eventually Seve given a go.

Didn't someone swear blind that this was BS and he was going to resign with Canterbury?

I confirmed he was gone about a week ago

Outside backs seem to be able to switch between Rugby and League quite well. I'm sure Inu will go ok. If we are short on wingers or centres there are plenty of good ones in Union to look at. The Crusaders winger Nemani Nadolo is a monster (6'4 foot) and solid. similar style to Tuiaki. Near unstoppable in the super rugby final last night. Even Izzy struggled to stop him. He's an Aussie but was playing in The Japanese comp last year. Might be the sort of player that wouldn't cost a fortune.
