It was.Wasn't Klein the "genius" in the bunker who ruled on the garbage escort claim-and completely stuffed it up?

As is tradition. It should but it won't be.At best we will get a half hearted apology and then it's back to business for the clique who run the game for the powerful clubs
Gardner had the Magpies on track for a premiership last year but the league called covid to end the season. Why didn't Ben Gardner get the job? So impressive. Where does he fit in next year??
BREAKING NEWS Butler sacked Klein sacked Tigers given the 2 points ... then I woke up! NRL is corrupt!I didn't think a challenge could be made at any old time... I thought they had to challenge a ref's decision, which there was none at full time... It was just normal play
Ref cracked under pressure... I reckon Klein or Sutton would've just blown full time
Interested in the official rule on challenges

Too close to Maguire maybe.Gardner had the Magpies on track for a premiership last year but the league called covid to end the season.
Certainly then and now seems that players want to play for him.
And if it cost a team like storm or roosters in a final , hang your head in shame KleinThe rules are black and white. The escort call, right or wrong is irrelevant. There was no ground for a captain's challenge. Laurie caught the ball and the referee made no call. You cannot challenge tackle one.
There was no call to challenge. Any way you look at this it is erroneous and corrupt. And the fact that the referee, touchy and Klein in the bunker didn't know what is acceptable grounds for a challenge is a huge problem.
What we saw last night was a referee too scared to make a call that would result in a top team losing and the current wooden spooners beating them.
At the end of the day you cannot challenge a call that isn't made. Butler and Klein should never see first grade again for this.
It's absolutely disgusting and no one will care because it's the Wests Tigers
Imagine the uproar if this happened to Melbourne, Easts or Penrith...
Have you seen the NRL response. Its absolute total BS that some PR guy put out to limit the abuse :I didn't think a challenge could be made at any old time... I thought they had to challenge a ref's decision, which there was none at full time... It was just normal play

Why didn't he call full-time other than to give that opportunity? There was no valid reason not to call full-time.Have you seen the NRL response. Its absolute total BS that some PR guy put out to limit the abuse :
An NRL spokesperson said: “The captain’s challenge was permissible in these circumstances. The captain can challenge decisions by the referee to stop the play.”
“Although the referee had blown his whistle to stop the game after the last tackle was completed as time had expired, he had not yet called full-time. The whole concept of the captain’s challenge is to make sure any decision by the referee that stops the game can be reviewed. To not do so would effectively deny a team the right to have an officiating error corrected on the last play of a game just because time had expired.
So apparently now you can challenge the ref calling the end of the game. Can't wait for a team down by a point and within field goal range challenging a full time call. Should be good for a laugh.
What's the difference between a dud call in the second minute and the 80th? If you're willing to stop play in the 80th then why should any other call in any other minute be different? Each could have a similar bearing on a result.Have you seen the NRL response. Its absolute total BS that some PR guy put out to limit the abuse :
