Yeah I was wondering this. If Annersley said the Cow's challenge was permissable due to it being the final play of the game after the 'soft' whistle, then this NEW RULE should be allowed for Tamou.

The ref did say the bunker had checked offside but I wonder:

1 - given it is a new challenge whether the bunker should check that again.

2 - Wests Tigers should also seek the bunker audio between Ref & Bunker to see if Bunker actually did say that offside at kickoff is all clear. If not, we would have legal grounds that we weren't given fair access to a challenge (as the Cows were).

Hagipentalis has stated they have requested the audio and transcripts between the ref and bunker and ref and players. If you rewatch everything there's a point before Townsend asks for the challenge that the ref walks away and is listening to what the bunker is telling him, the ref claims the bunker were only telling him the Cowboys had a challenge up their sleeve, but if the bunker were telling him there may have been an escort then the challenge should never have been allowed.
Nothing will eventuate out of it, the great thing is the more embarrassing and more trouble we give the nrl over this publicly, the less chance in future these
50/50 calls keep going against us.
I get the feeling for the rest of the year the Wests Tigers are pretty much guaranteed to get the 50/50 calls go our way, if I'm right just proves the refereeing is corrupt.

We'll definitely get a big howler in our favour on Saturday night (whilst 26 points down in the 72nd minute).

It's also pointless because we aren't making the finals this year.

I still can't fathom how poor a decision that was.

It could affect the top 4 though and the spoon which could affect the betting markets its more about the integrity though.
