Carney and the Rorters

Just reading about Carney returning to training. Undoubted a great talent and if he stays out of trouble will do well but i was just wondering where do you think he will play? I presumed he would come in at 6 with Jr Jr at 7 but where does that leave Anasta? He was played at No1 and 13 last year but really didn't work out. I knw it's the rorters but what does everyone reckon? 13 for me.

I dont know if he has ever lived up to his expectations, im always waiting for him to be the match winner or to do something really spectactular, i think he would go better at a new club.

They'll play him at 6, with Braith at 13 I think

1\. Minichiello
2\. Kenny-Dowall
3\. Jones
4\. Graham
5\. Perrett
6\. Carney
7\. Pearce
8\. Ryles
9\. Friend
10\. Nuuasala
11\. Myles
12\. Warea-Hargreaves
13\. Anasta

14\. Symonds
15\. Paea
16\. Conn
17\. Aubusson (Mitch)

looks like a wooden spoon side to me. what the hell is jones doing playing first grade, ?he is so average

I think Jones goes alright for a youngster, the kid is only 18\. They have some good prospects in the forwards though, JWH, FPN, Tom Symonds, Anthony Cherrington and Lopini Paea all look to be very good players, 2 are already kiwi reps, another is Tongan captain.

I personally think thats not a bad side on paper and they have got some young talents in the team.
Personally I think that theyl make the top 8 next year.

Carney turns up on his first day at the rorters dressed in thongs stubbies and t-shirt.
What was he thinking??? These guys just don't get it, do they?

It's all academic anyway lets face it there is not way living in Sydney he is going to keep his nose clean between now and March…

That is pretty standard fair for most players this time of year. It is not a season launch and he is ready for the business of football

Are you telling me he showed up to training in casual clothes before getting changed into his training gear? What an outrage, tear his contract up and deregister him for life. I can't believe this one bit, it's a complete outrage. Better yet, lets deport him and never let him back into the country.

It appears Todd Carney is flirting with danger by moving to Sydney. If he found it difficult to keep his nose clean in Canberra or Golbourn then Sydney has another thing coming for Todd. On the surface it appears a risk to say the least but just maybe that risk is what will see him toe the line and keep himself clean of dramas moving forward. Sydney wiil either kill his career or restore it, either way though, it's going to be a rocky road you feel.

I think Carney will go ok. A year up in the bush on just about no money should teach him a lesson on how good he has it playing in the NRL.
The problem will be if he does go out to places, people may try to antagonise him which may cause some bad publicity even if he does nothing wrong.
I think he'll stay clean this year but I'm not sure about the long term.

It looks like he'll play 1 next year. Thats what the talk has been and I remember Anasta saying last year that he prefers 5/8 to lock now, even though I think it'll be better for the Roosters if Anasta plays 13 with Carney at 6.

1? Isn't Mini there this year?

He's there, but I think they're shifting him to the wing/centres.
