Centres & Wingers Off Contract 2014

Champion as I said before is stuck in a log jam at souths, would be fairly cheap and is a right centre, Sio would be a great addition also.
I still like Inu who can cover fullback, wing and centre,Gutherson knocked back Stuart and is a fullback,so maybe he wouldn't come here.

Hurrell is on the outer at the Warriors.

Someone will offer him a fortune if he's available. IMHO, Warriors would be crazy to chase an aging Matai & let Hurrell go.

There's not much in the way of quality outside backs out there, which is hardly surprising for this time of year. Unless you can pull a Sio-quality player on the cheap, might be best to develop our own.

The only centres even close are Seve and Milone and they are at least 2 years away

I don't see enough NSW Cup to judge, but I thought Fine was considered a possibility?

But even if not, I just don't see us making a play for anyone decent.

We have a heap of kids coming through at the moment and the future looks bright, centre could be our sore spot, I dont think there is much out there in terms of established players.

We dont have a junior that says star at this point in time.

My solution is to buy the best up and comer you can find, and invest heavilly in there development (pick and stick).

My option would be Robert Jennings, but Brendon Elliot from the Roosters, Jeremy Hawkins from Canberra might be options also.

the last back we signed, with a bad haircut turned out great, after we made him shave it.. B. Austin.

Blake"s Dad recommended to his son to get a new haircut just before his first game for us ….. He was 18th man in Round 2 and I remember he still having the unusual one

I would grab either Fonua or Auva'a with both hands. Those 2 are about the best we can probably attract and afford. Guys like Folau or Hurrell are pipe dreams. We aren't signing those kinds of players for 2015.

Folau, would be with nrl help, so only minimal under our cap. And could be used as a marquee signing.

I agree most likely a pipe dream.

The nrl have stated this year, that this could be outside of the cap.

Hurrels price might be a bit expensive.

However, players are only worth what a club is wiling to pay for them.

Who knows?

What one wouldn't do to have Koro back at the moment, ridiculous thing to release him in the first place.

Bellyache thinks he is NRL standard

That list doesn't look too promising, except for Reece Robinson perhaps.
Is Inu still a possibility? Is Mansour?
Kurtley Beale would be capable, if tonight's fox sport report is anything to go on. He would be damn exciting.
If not, start clearing the decks (and the chequebook) for a marquee centre for 2016 a'la Israel Folau.

Mansour re-signed with Penrith. Robinson has been channeling Blake Ayshford all year. Shame because he looked promising at one point. Not sure about Inu's situation.

What happened about that bloke from England we were chasing

Had a hyphenated name ??

Hope you're not talking about Jamie Jones Buchanan? He must be in his twilight years surely. But on the topic of ESL players, I'd be very interested in Ryan hall. Another tier below would be Josh Charnley, but he's not in Halls league IMO.

It's always hard to judge how super league players will go over here because the ESL is a C grade comp, but gee there isn't a lot of depth or many great three-quarters around at the moment compared to years gone by.

It was Ben Jones-Bishop who the Tigers were linked to. It looks like he signed with Salford anyway.
