CEO - Shane Richardson

Before Richo's European holiday he was talking about exciting news re new recruits ? Has anything come of this ?
The only thing I've read is Taylan May saying he's ready to play NRL again but when or for who I don't have a clue
What's the latest ?
Taylan will be 1. KPP looks like the second. Not much around about the 3rd.

Mate you don’t win 5 NRL games without your pack putting in a huge effort
Ok, so theyve washed a few dishes to pay for their accomodation.

That was not a first grade effort v storm.

In holiday terms, it was a trip to disneyland and a backstage pass to share beers with Mickey and Daffy Duck after the show.

There was no excuses for that.

It wasnt just uncompetitive, it was an evisceration.

And theyd be best served picking up a few tea towels this week.

If they are afraid of this depleted and creatively bankrupt Souths team, all is lost for 25.

They either win or almost die trying so far as im concerned.

I hope Richo has made this abundantly clear to eveyone involved in our Footy dept.

Raiders got beat 32-0 in the second half against the Dogs, at half time they looked like premiership contenders. Momentum is a thing in the NRL.

Yep.

If this is the start of a long term decline, it will break our hearts.

So close to finally getting a competitive side.

Its almost like a tease, bait and switch...

In the past, weve just done nothing and sailed off the cliff.

So im panicking now!

Rest easy champion @TSP. the past is all in the rear view mirrror.
Our core newbies are here now, our confidence is better because of the 5 out of 5 so far, and Richo's picking tree droppings as we type. 😉

Thanks for the counselling.

Ive taken a big dive since the storm, but if youre watching the v souths thread, you'll see im cheering up a bit because on paper i think their side is something the cat dragged in.

I am looking at it as an opportunity, not a forgone conclusion.

Theres only a small minority of us really backing us in.

Many seem undecided and for some our goose is cooked.

So i must have a pulse somewhere!

Id rather win than worry about being right or wrong.

Things we can all agree on;

99% majority echo chamber approved, lets do this:

1. Benji is doing a hell of a lot better, but not near 100 yet.
2. Richo is so much better than Pascoe
3. Our new signing, whoever it is, will be a tad dissapointing
4. Bird shouldnt start
5. Galvo's manager shouldnt be licenced
6. May has been truly outstanding. Buy of the season of any club.
7. Nado remains risky. Sadly ...as hes reasonably well liked.
8. Skelton provides significant comfort when fit and playing. We miss him.
9. Douhie's defence still needs work, but by and large hes having a fair season
10....
I'm calling BS....

If we stack another really disappointing performance this weekend, I’ll share your concerns. I expect the team to respond.

So do I. It will be a really interesting watch. Will we come out with intensity? Can we keep them under 20 points? Will our forward pack, already pretty light in depth, cope with missing a player? Will Toa be a passenger or a difference maker?

Maybe this is why people are so keen on new signings? To keep our momentum towards next season. I feel like one proven NRL player around his prime would be a step in the right direction. Taylan and KPP don't move me much, too much unproven. Taylan could just be another Jimmy the Jet or Jamal Idris.

Very much agreed.

We could really do with a tradesman like Centre. Nothing spectacular. Just someone who can do a job and has played consecutive seasons of first grade in the role.

Good call.

I think our current troubles are helping the new signings cause.

KPP is competant, but no x factor.

I honestly think if Taylsn is recruited ( which is not up to me) a well behaved Taylan would solve a lot of our backline problems. He has explosive speed and natural aggression.

If he gets in the clear, hes a nightmare for defences because he has speed stamina.

He can play centre, wing and probably fullback at a pinch.

Hes not bona fide x factor, but hes better than oem factory.

You just dont want see May and Star in front of you unless you are above the cut physically.

im more worried about finding what weve lost recently. Benji dont muddle through, get some proper help.

Star is turning into a bit of monster! When he came here he was a scrawny rat!

Yes.

We are consumed by the shortcomings of our side, understandable..but look across the page at the league detritus the bunnies have the temerity to feild!

If we cant make a showing here, the year is lost.

Theres Latrell, but he got lucky last week. Its hard to play two historic games in a row. He was astonishing.
