CEO - Shane Richardson

Same old problems simply keep perpetuating
We give away contracted and proven players for nothing or peanuts(Galvin/Papali/Klemmer)to placate a rookie coach and post 2024(after wed bought some outside talent when Benji was on his training wheels full of promise), we get absolutely nothing back in return for any of these losses.
Gobsmacking
...whilst concurrently we have a totally ineffective and unproductive juniors pathway which delivers very little, and is dwarfed by the transit lounge at Bondi. And whatever we do indeed provide gets cannibalised in a heartbeat because we dont offer anything in the eyes of most player managers
Dunno..I really, really like Richo...but were either a complete basket case or hes asleep at the wheel
Surprise me with some recruitments.
.Im fast running out of patience
We just don’t have enough Richo’s to correct our trajectory.
We are hopeful of winning this season’s spoon bowl. Round 27 at CBUS Stadium, should be a cracker.

Personally...poor Richo copped a hospital pass inheritng a modestly credentialled coach (actually..totally uncredentialled) who initially had some attraction to the marketplace, but possibly not so much now.
Its the core issue .the elephant bla bla .....unconvinced Benji can get us out of the spoon race which nobody else wants to be part of but Richo is obliged to stick by him until the season plays out..as a very minimum
If Luai does indeed give notice Nov 1 that hes heading west to Perth(as has been suggested) on top of all the other well credentialled departees, that wld definitely be a catalyst for major change
But rite now were continuing to drift..probably south again tbh
Richo is our best asset to see these possibilities through to a more successful pathway

There’s no way Richo would have hired Benji off his own bat.

NOBODY other than Tim Sheens wld have done that
In hindsight,Benji shld have stuck with his stress free Foxtel gig
As a result, given Benji’s standing at the club, I think Richo has felt like his hands are tied at times. I don’t think many other coaches would have survived the Parra hiding when we had something to play for in the last round, last year.

I’m not convinced Tim had Benji on his list. Benji had not just the ears of the board and CEO, he was walking on water, probably still is.
I don’t know who wanted Tim to return, but it sure wasn’t the CEO, he showed that from day one.
It just didn’t make sense, I mean kinda like buying a Porsche but travelling everywhere on your push bike.

Didn’t the idea to sign Benji as coach come from a boozy lunch with Slothfield , Pascoe and Lee? I’m sure Sheens jumped on quick as it bought him another couple of years ..
Yes thats the story that was reported.
I remember Rothfield taking credit in a very un-humble manner and then when it went to shit he tried to backtrack and erase his name from it LOL....

I disagree with everything said in regards to Benji. 5 and 5 and with a bit of luck could have been 7 and 3. Anyway that is a discussion for another day.
I am wondering if Richo is in the country. Not seen or heard him much in regards to the Galvin shenanigans. Maybe overseas for a bit of recruitment? Anyone spotted him?

Yes, and with a little worse luck we could have been 3 and 7.
I agree that his absence is noticeable. Maybe he just has nothing to say?

Which is even worse. we hold the cards. WE do not release him until we say so and are ready to do so. If we haven't got a swap or a signing lined up there is no letting him go. Period.

Hang on................tigers. Lets just let him go and get nothing in return. Rinse and repeat. Massive IQs.
I think the court case is the unknown.

I would think that the reason that the outcome that we all want in either holding him to account or extracting a decent player swap out of the situation is likely being affected by whatever we're not being told about his chances in court.

There's been multiple references to the depths of the allegations by different journos coming from different perspectives over the past few weeks and all of them suggest that it could open a pandora's box for the club.

My suspicion is that Richardson has decided that the best way to clean the slate is to just get him out and to burying the legal issues in the process.

It's just speculation, but it does seem like Occam's Razor to me.

I think you are correct. So slimey, but so effective from Moses.

Yes. And if your aunty had nuts she'd be your uncle.
You know, I don't think I've read anything in your numerous posts that has been of a positive nature towards the Weststigers, including: the owners, directors, coach and assistants, the womens team, the ball boys and girls, even recruitment. I almost forgot, the players.
Lighten up.

Well you need to read more as that is simply not true.

Can we have some patience and trust that Richo knows what he is doing and will execute as he always has to get us in a better position.
The same people who are bagging and coming up with theories will be the same people applauding him when he unveils new signings that will have impact.
He is not sharing info on what’s being worked on and this is great albeit frustrating many of you, you either trust him or don’t the fact we aren’t leaking info like a siv is credit to change.
Everyone having a theory has no idea what he is doing who he has engaged and is talking too, one thing is his track record and speaks for itself you all wanted no leaks and buying better players and this is exactly what is happening you don’t like the process but want the results guess what you don’t have to like the process finally our club is keeping things under wraps without leaking and that’s how it should be.
We are all passionate about our club but we are not stakeholders so don’t need to know the process just need to reap the benefits and results.
I will judge him when all is revealed based on facts and outcomes not theories and scuttlebutt.
He has access to a large amount of money to spend spots to fill and decades of experience just because we are not being told doesn’t mean he is doing nothing nor does it mean he is not talking to quality upgrades so save your criticism and opinions for when it’s released who we have signed and then and only then can you judge.
Everyone wants the club to improve and become competitive no one more so then Richo does so again be patient and save judgement and embrace the silence as I said you may not like the process but it’s a significant change for our club and it’s professional exactly what we have needed for so long.

Apparently. I remember it well because it happened days after I posted here that because we were struggling with recruitment we should go down the path of identifying coaching talent within our playing group and promote a clear succession plan. Hire from within.
I was as shocked as anyone when Benji was parachuted into the role without any training, formal or otherwise.

That was a dealbreaker...almost but not quite
Benji had to be given an opportunity with the new talent in 25,but unortunately the experienced talent walked out the door at a faster rate!!
Benji ,with a 5/5 record ytd ,definitely deserves to see how this season evolves
Then Richo is better placed to make results based decisions about our future
..results are what its all really about..
Rite now Richos hands are a little tied knowing that he has a reduced pool of players who wanna actually come here other than for $$
